"Clément was very welcoming. The room was very simple but certainly adequate with all the basics, though the lighting could be improved. The evening meals were well-prepared and copious. The B&B is quiet and very well-located for visiting the Piton de la Fournaise volcano, which must be seen during any visit to La Réunion. I did feel that the health rules required by the pandemic were not adequately followed, and felt uncomfortable about that point. "

"Grandpa Pinpin was is the sweetest man I ever met. He runs the place and he keeps trying to communicate with you even if you don’t understand French. Coming from America, I truly appreciated the local experience, and his son was the first person that I actually was able to speak to in the outback of the Territory. "My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Villa Des Mascareignes. We stayed in the Soufflé Austral room which had big open windows that looked out to the ocean, and double doors with a balcony where our hosts made us a wonderful breakfast each morning. There were screens you could use to get fresh air or use an AC unit which was great. We chose to eat a dinner here and it felt like we had a private chef, which was our host Audrey. Very delicious and home made food! The whole place was super clean...
