"My only regret is that we didn't plan a longer stay! This Chateau and the grounds are stunning. The resident manager, Pascale, was delightful, helpful and it was so pleasant to chat with her during our stay. She recommended a lovely restaurant in a nearby town and arranged reservations for us on a busy Friday night. Made to order breakfast, extensive honor bar with drinks and snacks, beautiful suite and common areas and very reasonable pricing; you can't go wrong with Chateau La Remetiere!"

"Quiet area. Easy access to St Lô. Old building. Polystyrene ceiling tiles in bedroom.Fire hazard? Very comfy bed. Very steep, dangerous stairs to room. Owner very nice but did ask for payment again even though we pre-paid. Basic continental breakfast but only 3 euros each.Overall, for a one night stopover after a 9 hour drive,it did the job."

"Charming spot is as described, stone house with a brook running behind. Stayed in early March so the house had to be heated by the wood stove fairly constantly. Some wood was provided but we had to go up the hill to fill a wheelbarrow for another load. Internet access was sketchy at times. A weak signal. "Stayed here during the 75th anniversary of d-day. On arrival didn't know how to check in but was not a problem as owner lives next door. Great location to easily get to other places. Resident chickens in the garden made our stay welcoming and interesting. One day owner left us fresh eggs and on the last night of our stay left us a bottle of wine and biscuits. Would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back."
