"Very luxurious stay. Incredible room - beautiful finishings and a view overlooking the lovely courtyard. The setting is lovely with a vineyard on site with a terrace. The staff were really friendly. The restaurant in Bages was a 5 minute walk and was lovely also although unless you have a car (or arrange a taxi which can be quite expensive we foune) there are not so many options around other than that but the hotel itself is nice enough to want to stay! "

"7 friends stayed at the chateau for the marathon du medoc. The property is very large and beautiful. Quiet and tranquil. The main house is very well appointed and recently renovated with a huge TV, pool table, lovely cooker and the bedrooms were very large and beautifully appointed. The pool was awesome, and not too cold in September. We were able to cook comfortably for 7 people with good cooking equipment. Highly recommend"

"We enjoyed a relaxing holiday at Sylvie and Thierry's property. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming - treating us to a delightful evening of home-made pizza and cocktails on our final night - and struck the perfect balance of being attentive while still giving us space to enjoy the facilities. The property was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook up delicious meals using the fantastic produce of the region. Beaches and other attractions were easy to reach and the pool a lovely place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. Thank you, Sylvie & Thierry!"

"We had a great time at Hotel de Margaux. We stayed in the Suite Vénitienne which is a large apartment in a little chateau close to the hotel with a view on a nice pool and a vineyard. The host was very nice. Too bad that their restaurant was closed and we had to go outside for dinner."

"We have just spent half term with our grandchildren at Sylvain’s property. The property was very secure, completely enclosed. The pool cover was lockable to avoid any accidents. The pool was heated which was a bonus. There was plenty of outside space for relaxing and dining. Inside, the living area was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The fridge freezer having an ice cube dispenser was handy. Sylvain responded well to any issues, or questions we had. The one thing that could have been improved was the information folder. Maybe some recommendations for restaurants, activities and supermarkets. We all had a great time."

"If you are looking for a quiet countryside experience in the Bordeaux region with some of the most caring and adorable hosts possible look no further. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is always fresh and a great way to start a day of wine exploration in the region, and the overall atmosphere is very clean, peaceful and relaxing. The crew that manages the guests are genuinely helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They patiently answered a thousand questions, even made dinner for us after their kitchen was closed when we came home hungry. The crew made our stay extra special. Notice i said come home. Thats how you feel at Chateau Meyre. At home!! Note: the Chateau is a bit remote and you need a rental car preferably or the chateau can find you a taxi but be prepared to pay for it since the distance to Bordeaux city and varied food options is a bit far. Highly recommend for an adorable French countryside experience. "
