Excellent communication from the owners of the property and Mr and Mrs Keys, the property managers, were extremely helpful and accommodating. You will need a car to access supermarkets/sight seeing etc. but there are lots of beautiful areas to see. Cognac is beautiful and reasonably close. "We have just spent the best two weeks in this lovely renovated property. It was everything we had wished for and more. The setting was beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed walking down to the river and taking the bac to Chanier every day for bread. The house itself has been finished to a very high quality and had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the covered outside area. The pool was fantastic and the perfect way to finish off a day spent sightseeing. Thanks so much!"

"Villa Roccia is great. Beach just across the road was fabulous for late evening walks…but the pool and hot tub area was the star of the holiday. The village has a couple of grocery shops with a wonderful boulangerie too. Everyone was friendly, especially the host, Carine. Wonderful holiday. Long drive from uk but French roads and drivers are so much calmer than uk, so it was stress free from Calais."
