I would learn a few words of welcome in my guests language and to explain workings of equipment. "We had a lovely stay at this traditional old Stone property. The bedrooms were very comfortable but only one toilet upstairs meant going to the loo in the night wasn’t easy. Also the bathrooms only had hand held showers in the baths which wasn’t ideal. The housekeeper that met us was very friendly and helpful and explained everything very clearly. "It was a traditional french cottage and was a little basic and lighting was a bit poor at night. But as the weather was good we were outside a lot with the dog and the garden is great. Everything worked in the house but internet reception is quite poor unless you go to the garage.Had not realised we would be opposite other guests in a bigger place but that was no problem and made it interesting. "The swimming pool is the centre piece of this complex, it’s even better than it looks in the photos. We often had the pool to ourselves. The pool has a security code on the door making it very safe with children. Our gite had a lovely terrace and also a small garden which the children enjoyed.
