Seul bémol, ni la wifi ni la TV ne marchait lors de notre séjour. "We stayed in Beaucele for two week weeks in August. We wanted to canoe on the Cele and the location of the house was perfect for this. There were five of us in total, myself and four teenagers ranging from 13 to 17. We brought our own canoes, but there are many well organised businesses renting canoes for very reasonable prices including the transfer to your starting point, which might be a simpler way of doing this. Philippe kindly drove me back to where I had left the car at our starting point...

Everything you possibly think off has been provided with wonderful finishing touches to make the house a real home (if only for your holiday). "There are NO serviettes (towels) provided, and no hairdryer, bedding very basic but beds were comfortable, shower was great, C=hot, F=cold. Nice location, me met hosts at their address and followed them to the rental by car. You will need google translate to communicate as they are very friendly but speak NO English. Hated the kettle, very complicated to operate,ended up heating a cup of water in microwave. Washing machine was handy when i found the washing line behind the house. i would go...

"This is an annexe that has the owners stamp on it and is all the better for it. As a bijou gite for 1 or 2 people it’s ideal. Albas is a fabulous location with easy access to the river, cycle routes and the vineyards. The whole area is utterly gorgeous! The sheltered terrace is lovely private space and you get a real sense of being part of the village. The walk behind the house up to the table d’orientation is well worth it, as is the red wine produced from the local vineyard. Sylvain the owner...
