"The room was very big and clean with tea & coffee making facilities, queen size bed and large toilet and shower. Little extras in the room like sweets, and bottled water."

He helped carry our bags, showed us around our rooms (we had 2 of them) and then brought us a tray of wine and snacks. He then asked what time we wanted breakfast the next morning. "The accommodation is in a beautiful spot and provided everything we wanted for a very comfortable stay. Couldn't fault anything. Owner has been very thoughtful in ensuring her guests enjoy their time in this beautiful place. Definitely 5 stars from us. Didn't want to leave. "

"This was our second holiday this year at the mill and we will keep returning. Everything you need for a holiday has been thought of, beautiful mill and extensive gardens. Can highly recommend using the patio at the side of the property for meals, very relaxing with views across the river/land. You have access to use herbs/tomatoes etc from the garden which is such a lovely idea. "The property internally was very good but needs some finishing off. Property full of flies. VRBO advertised property inclusive of use of pool and hot tub. Owner requested 100 euro’s for 7 days use of hot tub. Externally on arrival the grass was not cut, pool had not been cleaned and Wi-Fi was inoperable. Pool was cleaned on arrival, Wi-Fi was repaired following day. Grass was not cut. The owners dog used the long grass at the end of the pool to do it’s business. We will not return to this...

"We had an amazing family vacation with four generations, and this spacious and comfortable mansion was perfect for all of us. Everyone had their own space to relax, but the common areas were ideal for gathering and making memories together. The property was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for large family getaways!"

Stunning mill and spectacular location

"This was our second holiday this year at the mill and we will keep returning. Everything you need for a holiday has been thought of, beautiful mill and extensive gardens. Can highly recommend using the patio at the side of the property for meals, very relaxing with views across the river/land. You have access to use herbs/tomatoes etc from the garden which is such a lovely idea. Easy drive to food shops and literary a short walk to Château de Dampierre-sur-Boutonne which is definitely worth a visit. There is also a small shop that sells local crafts/art/honey which is such a fabulous idea to support the local people. The owner Yohann as always was very welcoming, excellent communication prior and during the stay if you require his assistance. He ensures your time at the mill is as enjoyable as possible. You won’t regret booking this gem of a property. "

Fabulous house, great area

"We loved our stay here - house is spacious and we all had a bedroom - a family with 3 generations staying. The garden is lovely, great to play, sit, enjoy. The pool is lovely, though too cold for me to get in, but the kids did and enjoyed it. That would be my only criticism - a heated pool would be nice! Close to a supermarket - only 5 mins in the car, Surgeres,close by, is a lovely little town to explore and also has a train station to get to La Rochelle, Paris, etc! Highly recommended."
