"Slept so well in this quiet retreat in older part of town. On warmer days feel like sitting outside with the large sliding door open. Apartment appointed with anything you might need. Nearby pharmacy, bank, Casino and cafe and brasserie and restaurants within 1 km walk. Good takeaway kebab just steps out the door. Lovely market and easy town to use as base for visiting Lot and Cele area with many medieval towns, Peche Merle, etc. Would stay afain anytime back in this area."

"Sylvain and Katherine were ideal hosts who communicated well with us to ensure we arrived safely. They were PERFECT hosts who welcomed us, gave us lots of information, considerately stocked the kitchen with a welcome pack of groceries and invited us for drinks in their beautiful house and garden. The cottage is ideal for 2 or 3 people with a lovely balcony and use of a gorgeous garden. If you have mobility issues the spiral staircase needs to be considered. Our hosts introduced us to the...

"We stayed at Le Petit Soyc in August 2023. This is a fantastic villa. Accommodation is very comfortable. Plenty of room for 8 of us with room to spare. The layout is superb. The kitchen is big, modern and well equipped. The outdoor dining area is really good. The swimming pool, pool house and shade is also spot on. We had a fantastic stay. Temperature was over 40 degrees! Local area is peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely recommend 100%. Property owner is as fantastic as the villa!"

"Excellent séjour passé avec ma femme au milieu des vignes. Piscine privée grande et très agréable ( pour les deux logements) toujours propre et impeccable . Environnement calme et très sympa , proche des commerces. Des hôtes charmants aux petits soins et non envahissants. Merci a tous les deux pour votre accueil et au plaisir de revenir très vite. "Tout est prévu pour se sentir à la maison, y compris un équipement moderne comme une grande tv et une connexion Wi-Fi très haut débit ! Mais ce n'est pas pour cela que l'on vient à la Baudette, c'est pour son calme, sa tranquilité et sa piscine pour se raffraichir ! "Property is basic but ideal to use as a base if planning to spend most of the time out with family. Good location for easy access to Villefranche and reading books in the garden. Used it as a bed and breakfast really, Been twice, will go again."

"Le rapport qualité/prix n'y est absolument pas ! Accueil mitigé, une liste de ce qu'il ne faut pas faire. Salle de séjour mal éclairée le soir avec les odeurs de la fosse d'égout à proximité. Il a fallu demander un poste de TV pas plus grand qu'un ordinateur pour 8 personnes et l'installer nous mêmes ! Le terrain est vaste, seule qualité du lieu !"

"A lovely little cottage in such a peaceful location - perfect for time to get away from everything . The swimming pool was a real bonus and Ann Elise was the perfect host . We were able to enjoy time to ourselves as well as being able to explore the area . The cottage had everything we needed , and more , very comfortable and a real home from home . Authentic holiday home with private pool

Dated, inaccurate description, poor communication

"The property is dated and in need of some TLC, there are things within the property that do not work such as the TV, the channel box was broken when we arrived, in spite of reporting the fault it was never fixed, there are multiple extension cords around the property, not sure if it meets basic health and safety standards. Most frustrating part is the situation with linen, although linen is provided, however, beds are not made on arrival and the condition of the linen can be best described as shabby and old, we asked care taker can we at least have matching bed linen, however, we were told the previous family had 10 guests and they used all the linen. You can enjoy the pool after you have cleaned it of the bugs. Shower cubicle needs attention as the door is cracked and we were informed that the previous guests broke it!! Hmmm! Looked broken for a while to us. Now! Good bits - if you want piece and quite this is a perfect location with small villages around the corner, wildlife and insects are in abundance, there is resident mantis in the kitchen window, wild cat that lives within one of the old barn at the back and if you are quiet you might see a dear roaming around within the grounds. I suppose! The big question- will we book again the property and with Vrbo? Answer is an emphatic NO. Vrbo did not even acknowledge the concerns we raised as soon as we arrived, in fact we are still waiting for a response! Not impressed and over priced."
