"Jean and Catherine were wonderful hosts for our 3-night stay at this wonderful Chateau in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region. They went out of their way to answer all our questions and secure us dinner reservations and even arranged a wine tasting on-site for us. The countryside that the Chateau is situated is magnificent, and we went for many pleasurable walks. The Chateau itself is spectacular!! "The house is located on top of a hill surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owners who live next door were very kind and helpful. There are only two houses on that hill. They are totally isolated, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The house is well equiped with everything you need. We spent a lovely week. Château de la Roche is worth a visit, as well as Lyon easily reachable by train from Tarare a town half an hour away from the gîte. ."
