"Monique and Michel were fantastic hosts - warm and welcoming when we arrived late in the day. We stayed in the attached cottage and we welcomed the fresh croissants and bread in the morning. Even though there are other properties attached and b&b guests it was still so peaceful, the gardens and outside spaces were amazing and offered not only plenty of spaces to sit but were so beautiful to be in. We loved the swimming pool and sauna - again the spaces were well thought out and were harmonious...

"Lovely gite in a lovely area. We particularly enjoyed going to the port to read in the shade and enjoy a drink in the bar/restaurants. Plenty to do and see in the local area with La Rochelle and Bordeaux within 90 minutes to go further afield. Jo was very welcoming and helpful, being only 20 minutes away if needed"

"Fabulous 3 bed gite with a large pool, air con, fast wifi, outdoor games and UK tv channels. Great for families. Handily placed - 30mins to Royan, 40 mins to Cognac, 50 mins to Bordeaux. Catherine, the hostess, couldn't do more for us. We had a great time (despite the weather) and would heartily recommend this idyllic, quiet get-away."

"This property is a peaceful shangrila. Our hosts Barbara and Kevin couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The property is an enclosed peace of paradise. After cognac tasting, going to the local farmers market, kayak races and wandering the lovely village of Jarnac we always looked forward to returning to our gite. "We stayed for a night. The exterior looks a bit rundown but the apartments are great. Everything works, it’s well equipped and clean. There’s also an elevator which is a major plus. Daily continental breakfast for 11 euros - honestly it’s too expensive for what they serve. You have to bring down your trash upon check out and clean the kitchen if you used it. Overall a nice stay."

"We really enjoyed our week at this property. Our boys loved the pool and spent many hours regardless of the weather.
