Houseboats in Saint Martin

"We very much enjoyed our stay, and I must say the staff is very friendly and helpful. For instance, I asked at the desk for ice and the lady went out of her way to find a bag for me free of charge. Only minor exceptions. They give you a gift card at check in that reads for 'One free cocktail' but the lady that runs the bar refused it and told my wife that is for 'the juice that goes in the cocktail, not for the cocktail'. The next day I asked the bar lady for a bottle of water so I could make ice. (The desalinated tap water is ok to drink but not the best). She gave me the more expensive brand bottle and charged me $10. The bar is owned by her, not the hotel. She was an unpleasant person. But the other bartender employee and restaurant staff were very nice. It would be a much better experience if they would just get rid of that bar owner/manager. Great location. Orient Beach currently was full of Sargassum weed but a short drive to other beaches which had none. We found renting a car was best and the cost is less than the taxi ride from SXM so it pays for itself in that sense and you can explore every place.."

"Loved our stay at Blue Sail. Had everything we wanted and more. Only thing I'll point out is that while there is plenty to do in Anse Marcel, if you plan to go to any other area, the hill to Anse Marcel is a quite steep and our rental barely made it. I believe there are shuttles and taxis, however if you are renting a car, ensure it's capable."

"This is a tropical oasis on the beach. Beautiful gardens and rooms are very well kept. Ti Palm restaurant on the property is gourmet dinning on the patio. No problems or interruptions felt like we had the pool all to ourselves. Highly recommended. MERCI."

"We spent 4 nights at La Hibiscus. Really enjoyed everything about it. Florian gave us a free upgrade to the Jasmine suite. Large, comfortable bed, great shower and bathroom. Great terrace for sunning and looking at the mountains. We had the pool to ourselves which we loved. Very hands off approach by management which meant great privacy which we like. Only 5 minutes to Orient Beach….great choice of restaurants including a couple of breakfast places. Will definitely come back. FYI….renting a car is a must. "
