"I stayed here with my mum during our roadtrip through France. We only stayed here one night and arrived in the evening, so didn't get to enjoy much time there. However the house was stunning and the room was beautiful and comfortable. We were very tired and were happy to be able to recharge. Pointing this out to the owner he took great offence rather than accepting a little feedback. "This property is completely incompetent. Don't let their info on their website fool you they are open 2:30-9 to let you in. I came at a responsible time for check in at 5:30, waited 30 minutes and no one to let you in. Of course they are not accountable for not being there to let you in. They want to charge you for the fact you couldn't get in to stay there. It is very hard to find, took 3 different GPS methods to find it, then when you found it gates closed with chickens squaking at you."

"We had a very pleasant stay at Les Grands Vignobles. Laurie was welcoming and friendly. The house was clean and tidy with all facilities you could want and we enjoyed the outside space with the view onto the vineyard. "

"We’ve had a wonderful week here. The pool is fantastic especially as temperatures were in the high 30s, thankfully inside the house remains cool. The garden is huge and beautiful with secure fencing allowing our dog to safely explore. Marie is welcoming and friendly, the perfect host. The house is lovely and very well equipped. The location is remote and peaceful but an easy drive to the next village for groceries and 2 bakeries."

"Private, quiet, unpretentious but lots of history around the property. We spent most of our time alternating between the lovely pool and the cool of the house. Big family meals and parties. Although there were 20 of us the house rarely seems full. Highly recommend."

"An AMAZING beautiful hotel conveniently located in prime area. The entire staff was POSITIVELY the best!!! I can not say enough good things about the entire staff. From the moment we stepped in to the lobby we were catered to as if we were Royalty. They were so accommodating and helpful. I have stayed all over the World and spend at least 100 nights a year at hotels and the Hotel Pavie staff is at the very top and of my list!! The Restaurant is fabulous and if you can get a reservation it is a must do. I can not wait to return."

"Loved this hotel, it is right in the heart of St Emillion and it gives you. the opportunity to really explore the town on foot. There is parking at the hotel (if you book in advance which I would as parking in St Emillion can be challenging) which was a real bonus. Room was lovely, bed was super comfortable and the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again if visiting St Emission."

Character house with garden & swimming pool

Fantastic place to stay

"The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed using the swimming pool and our youngest liked the swing in the tree! We had lots of BBQs. Only small niggle was that we were unable to find the toaster? Also not enough mugs, we bought some cheap ones and left them behind! All in all a great holuday and would consider a return visit. "

"We arrived to a lovely welcome by Malcolm. The pictures were very accurate. The farmhouse was beautiful and rustic. The views were gorgeous. We had everything we needed for a group family stay. Shops weren’t too far away. Thank you Malcom it was fab. "
