Further north, idyllic fishing villages such as Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, known as a favourite of the French, await you with their famous oysters. You can also explore Barfleur and the majestic Gatteville lighthouse.

Visit Cherbourg with the Cite de la Mer, where a real submarine and the artificial harbour await you. Or discover the impressive Route des Caps in the west, which offers spectacular landscapes and famous surfing beaches. Also plan a trip south to Saint-Lo with its national stud farm or to Granville, known for its casino and Maison Dior. Before you finish your trip, be sure to visit the impressive Mont-Saint-Michel.
