"Le Soutenac is a generous and comfortable place to enjoy rural French life. The description of the house was very accurate and there were no hidden surprises! The kitchen is large and well-equipped, there are many places to sit, eat, drink or relax. The boulangerie was shut for the first half of our stay but Neuvic is an easy cycle away (I guess even Mme Boulanger needs a holiday!)"

"Staying at a castle is an adventure in and of itself. The owners/our hosts Don and Jennifer, are a delightful young couple who have restored the castle and have been there the past 3 years. Very helpful with anything we needed. The breakfast was wonderful. The view was terrific and we had great fun enjoying a nighttime bonfire under a canopy of brilliant stars. We had a terrific dinner prepared by a French chef, Jean Claude and even went to the market in the morning with him and Don to pick out food after a discussion about what to have. We invited family and had an enchanted evening. The 110 acres of grounds included ponds, fields and forest with pathways for walking, reading, running and meditation. The swimming pool was lovely (a bit cold in March to swim), the tennis court looked inviting and I especially liked the hammock."
