"This place is seriously beautiful and may spoil me for more ordinary hotels. Gorgeous historic buildings and gardens. Our bedroom was very large with massive wooden beams across the ceiling. Calm and pristine cream decor. Very modern bathroom with beautiful ceramic handbasins and walk in shower. The breakfasts are of excellent quality and the dining facilities are exceptional though very formal. The heated outdoor pool is large enough for a reasonable swim and in late September I had it entirely to myself. Lovely helpful staff. Staying here is a real treat."

"A very pleasant surprise to find a reasonably priced hotel that delivered on all fronts. Really helpful member of staff on our arrival ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Room e had was spacious even with 3 beds and everything was clean. Perfect for a 1 night stay."

"Personne pournois accueillir à notre arrivée, gîte souillé par un chat (excréments au sol, vomis sur les lits....). Le propriétaire n'a pas donné de draps propres quand il est venu nous voir le lendemain de notre arrivée. Les fenêtres sont cassées/fêlées. Le site est magnifique mais l'hôte n'est pas à la hauteur, il ne correspond plus aux photos malheureusement."

"Yet again, Hotels.com failed to mention a potential charge for the dog. This is about the sixth or seventh time that this has happened. Also, in this particular hotel, dogs were not allowed into the bar area or even the reception area. This would have proved impossible if I had been travelling alone!! Hotels.com - Please be more specific in future and if you don't know the rules - find out before posting the hotel on your site"

"A very pleasant stop over on way to Spain. Room booked for 4 adults which could have easily accomodated 6 people as there was 1 kingsize bed, 1 double pull our sofa bed ( very well dressed and comfortable), and single bunk beds. All beds were a good size even for out 6.1ft son. 2 chairs to relax on and a couple of side tables. Our room key had 'Rose" printed on it. Very spacious room even with all the available furnishings. Shower room ( wet room ) has a lovely rainfall shower and a modern sink which again is spacious. Separate toilet. Towels are clean and soft. Tolietries also available. Room temperature was cool despite us visiting in July. Window dressings and blind made the room remain dark early in the morning to aid a lie in. Welcoming staff ( sorry didnt get her name) was very pleasant and despite us not speaking very much french at all she was patient and helped us find somewhere to eat dinner. The lady who helped us with checkout was also very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was really well laid out and adequate. Very quiet area in all. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Beautiful refined property. Lovely quiet comfortable room. Shame the weather was so bad we couldn’t use the pool or enjoy the gardens. Both looked lovely. Lovely receptionist."
