"De passage à Saintes, nous avons passé une nuit sur place. Très calme pour bien dormir. Très bon accueil à l’arrivée. Le petit déjeuner dans le jardin le matin c’est au top, notre hôte a été aux petits soins, c’était très agréable. Nous n’hésiterons pas à reprendre une nuit à l’occasion."

"We were driving from the UK to the south west of France and wanted somewhere to stay en route. What a wonderful surprise this place was. The house is a big, beautiful, old (really old!) property with very generous rooms and lovely ensuite bathrooms. The hosts are very welcoming and generous. Saintes - who knows why that big town is not more widely known as a tourist destination. Incredible architecture, lovely river walks, greta places to eat. And the best bit - we have 2 large excitable dogs...

"The owner and his wife were very kind and attentive. We arrived late and the husband (and their very friendly dog) was there to meet us. He helped carry our bags, showed us around our rooms (we had 2 of them) and then brought us a tray of wine and snacks. He then asked what time we wanted breakfast the next morning. We thought this was odd as most hotels tell you what time breakfast is. Nonetheless, we wanted to head out early the next morning so we told him we’d like to eat at 7am. When we woke...
