"The whole property is so peaceful and clearly a labour of love - our room (Granit) was huge and beautifully decorated. The pool is large and the views are amazing. Madeleine was very helpful at check in but we had our privacy the rest of the time. We highly recommend a stay here."

In its current state the Chateau is about 3/4 of its former size as one of the former owners lost his luck and simply sold his part brick wise. The attached park is the most beautiful retirement for elderly horses you can imagine. Helicopter or Oldtimer Jaguars await those who would like to take a ride. "Gute, ruhige Lage um schöne Wanderungen im Morvangebiet und den umliegenden Seen zu machen. Bequeme, bereits bezogene Betten, gute Ausstattung, alles vorhanden was man braucht. Ort mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nicht weit. "

"This was a great place in the beautiful French countryside. Clean, quiet and plenty of room for two. Excellent jumping off point to Chablis, Dijon and other nearby towns/villages."

"We were very happy with the offering at this hotel, we were able to secure a room for Friday night on short notice. The staff were very friendly and we experienced the most efficient check in of any hotel. Very quick, no wasted effort, and a friendly exchange with the counter staff. After a change of shift overnight, the staff continued to be friendly and engaging with the customers. The room is as advertised, everything is comfortable and clean. Very acceptable level of quality, it is not fancy or boutique yet it is a very high value offering for the price point. We had the breakfast, that was as advertised with a good variety on offer, much more than a simple continental breakfast. I would return here again anytime. "

"We wanted for nothing in this property, everything was provided. It was in a huge, secluded garden, but the property was separate, and a long way from the main house, so we didn't feel enclosed in any way. We sat/ate outside a lot of the time, and felt that we were a long way from the main house. Samur-en-Auxois was everything we thought it was, and François Meunieur was extremely helpful. 10/10!"
