We had booked a 'mountain view' room, but were given a lake view room at no extra cost, and which saved us an extra flight of stairs to carry bags. The manager, who greeted us, was very friendly, helpful, and even insisted on helping us with one of our bags going upstairs. "The people running the hotel are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The hotel itself is older and the room was small but it was also inexpensive. They ask us not to flush the toilet or shower after 10pm, because the plumbing is old, but it is disclosured up front. The town is nice and the area beautiful. We hiked a lot."

"Stayed in 6/8 sleeping chalet. Has 3 bedrooms 2 with 2 singles, 1 small room with bunk bed. Lounge area very small. Would not recommend for more than 6. Well equipped it tiny kitchen area part of lounge. No oven. But dishwasher, fridge with small freezer. Microwave with grill. Lots of pots, pans, cutlery, peeler, bottle opener, etc. Checking in strange as reception does not open until 3pm weekends 5pm weekdays. Do not get there before as you will not get your room key! "The Gran Carlina is well situated in town and had free parking which was a bonus. The exterior of the hotel is in a very bad condition and needs major renovation. We were seriously concerned what the inside would be like! The interior was better but dated and a little tired, the same with the bedroom but it was clean. Breakfast when the hotel is not busy was fine but one morning the restaurant was busy and the staff struggled to keep hot dishes replenished. We had to wait 20 minutes for...
