Deserted - nobody there
Nobody there - place was deserted despite advising we would be arriving around 8pm having driven to Bordeaux from London. Nobody answered my calls - unbelievable. Stuck in the dark in the middle of nowhere. Hotels.com found us another room so we checked in after 10pm. Totally exhausted and frustrated. I don’t understand why they didn’t call me to see where we were - especially as we advised our late arrival. Maybe somebody should remind this place who the customer is, especially at this time of a pandemic.

A wonderful place to stay. Isabelle and Vincent were great hosts and we were met with a glass of their own wine on arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable with elegant furnishings. The Château and surrounding vineyards are set in beautiful countryside and easy to locate. An excellent base for exploring the various wine regions surrounding Bordeaux.

Okay but not again
Breakfast was mediocre, baguette and jam, chocolate croissant, coffee. Towels are hard and small. One small thin bed pillow per bed. Pool was dirty after a storm which we tried to clean.

A big disappointment
Isabelle, owner, is very gracious and helpful about local sights and recommendations for restaurants. We were offered a glass of wine upon our arrival. The good part ended there. The room we reserved was unavailable; the bed was lumpy, poor lighting and the bathroom smelled of a failing septic system. The bath towels were paper thin. Continental breakfast was on the light side. The Chateau has an air of disrepair. Don’t expect to stay in the chateau. The rooms are in out buildings

My husband and I had a great time at Chateau Rouselle, sadly it was only one night but we really enjoyed it. The staff were very hospitable and went the extra mile to ensure that we had a good stay. Since it was in January we were the only guests there, which meant we were able to get a great wine education from them!

Beautiful overnight stop.
Beautiful hotel with its own Château and vineyards. You can even ask the owner for a tour. We were welcomed with a glass of their own wine. The room was comfortable with a queen bed and our own courtyard immediately outside our accommodation. Breakfast was served in the Château.

Wonderful stop over in Bordeaux
We had a very lovely and comfortable stay, Isabel greeted us and got us settled and then got us directly to the wine cellar to taste their wine with a tour with the winemaker, Vincent, who was funny and very versed in the local wine history. Great wine, nice breakfast and good recommendations in Blaye for tapas and dinner.

A fine vineyard with excellent hosts
I stayed here just one night but received welcome and courtesy leading to excellent wine experience both at this vineyard and with Isabelle and Vincent's friends.

Peaceful châteaux
We found the châteaux a little hard to find as the few signs there were are really close to the place. On arrival the châteaux is beautiful and the surrounding area is very peaceful. Isabelle greeted us warmly and showed us around and left us to settle in before bringing us a glass of their own wine - I can recommend the rose.

Quiet and peaceful stay in wine country!
We enjoyed two nights at Chateau Rosselle. It is very secluded and quiet, which is what we were looking for. Isabelle was extremely nice and helpful. She guided us to nearby restaurants and other sites in the region. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful place to stay
A beautiful place to stay if you want to get away from it all. The host Isabelle is very welcoming and friendly and will show you around the cellars of the vineyard, where you can buy the Chateau Rousselle wine made on the estate. Our dog was made to feel very welcome too. Lovely pool. Good continental breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend it.

A little Paradise outside Blaye
Overnight stop on way to Vendee. The chateau is beautiful and although you don't stay IN the chateau - in converted outhouses - you get the romantic feel of the old house. Ours was a large family room with a mezzanine holding two single beds with a generous double below. Lovely bathroom with excellent walk in shower. There is a small swimming pool, which I don't recall seeing on the website so dips were taken in evening and early morning. We drove into Blaye for supper which is about a 10 minute drive. Loads of choice. Excellent market on Saturday morning in Blaye. We will be staying again, soon, I hope.

A wonderful stay and well looked after. The room was lovely and we were provided with a nice breakfast every morning. Isabelle was a fantastic host; she made us feel very welcome and gave us many suggestions on where to travel nearby. The area was stunning, many beautiful villages, a Saturday market in Bourg, the Citadelle in Blaye and a lovely drive to St Emilion. Absolutely recommend!

Rejuvenating stop
Very peaceful place in the country! About 20 minutes off the main highway and 5 minutes from the Gironde estuary surrounded by rolling hills covered in vineyards. We stopped for the night on our drive across France. The Malbec (family room) was great for us. We made a pallet on the floor for our youngest child and had plenty of space for our young family of 5. The staff spoke plenty of English to make things easy and greeted us with a delicious glass of red wine. Breakfast (baguettes, croissants, jams, coffee, orange juice, and chocolate milk for the kids) was available from 0900-1100.

Solitude in the midst of vineyards
This hotel may seem out of the way, and it is quite a drive from Bordeaux. But you find yourself in the middle of the Blaye-Bourg wine-growing region of Bordeaux at an actual winery in a early 17th century Cháteau. They serve a great continental breakfast. Hosts Isabelle and Vincent give good suggestions for restaurants and nearby wineries. They don't push their wine but it is for sale. If we had stayed in Bordeaux, we would not have had the experience of the beautiful vineyards. A GPS is a very good idea. Highly recommended!

For a classy stay..
I had a very short stay at this place. My hosts were very friendly and nice people though. They offered plenty of information and advice about the region, places to stay etc. I would have loved to stay here longer and see more of the region. The property itself was good, not your conventional hotel or B&B. A little isolated, but that's exactly the point. It could help to have a few more amenities in the room itself though. I would recommend a stay here.

5* vineyard B&B in the heart of wind country!
Absolutely loved our visit to this delightful vineyard B&B! Our guest room was one of just 3, situated in the former stables of this beautiful old manor house. We were greeted on arrival by Isabelle, the very welcoming owner, who offered us glasses of their homegrown wine. It was fantastic, and we were able to buy the wine as well. She speaks very good English, if your French is a bit lacking, and can recommend good places to go for an evening meal. A very nice continental breakfast is provided in the main house. You can take a walk around the grounds to look at the vineyards; there is also seating in the courtyard for enjoying some al fresco Chateau Rousselle wine! A visit to Blayes, the nearest small town, is the best idea for other meals. Do also take the opportunity to visit the Citadel in Blayes - a fascinating artists' colony housed within an old fortified town. We would love to come back to Chateau Rousselle one day:)

A lovely location in the vineyards
A lovely location in the middle of the vineyards just east of the Garonne and north of Bordeaux. Isabelle was a great host, providing a wealth of useful information about the area, good advice on restaurants, etc.

Great Place to Stay
We stayed for 3 nights in the family room, and really enjoyed the stay. Amazing setting, great hosts, lovely pool, and a very interesting tour of the vineyard. Would definitely stay again, and would recommend to anyone
