"This was a lovely old house from another era, an adorable private garden and situated at the quiet end of a lovely village. Could use some renovation and a more modern kitchen, if you were going to stay longer than a few days, but was fine for our short stay. Mr. Tixier was available just around the corner and by phone at a moment's notice which we really appreciated. He was responsive and nice--the things you need when travelling, as we were, in another country :) "

"We were looking for a great property for our family of 5 with 3 adult children plus friend. The house did not disappoint! It was spacious and comfortable for the 6 of us and would easily accommodate 8 adult guests. The pool and garden are stunning with a large pool 5x 10m with gentle steps in and a depth of 1.50m across it was lovely to swim in and heated - a real plus. Plenty of sun loungers and not overlooked at all- with floats and a balls to play games. If you have small children it’s got beautifully designed metal fencing with a gate for safety. The garden area is so peaceful that you forget you are in the middle of a village only steps from the bakery, pizzeria, restaurant, art gallery, cafes and mini supermarket. Even has a Sunday market for fruit and vegetables plus cheese and meats etc There’s a beautiful patio with dining and BBQs just located close to the house with shaded canopy if needed. Beatrice snd Jean-Paul are super attentive if you have questions and the pool is cleaned each morning without you knowing anyone is there. The garden is landscaped with secure parking located at the end of the garden There’s a shower room with toilet upstairs and another on the ground floor with a separate toilet. Very helpful! (Bedding & 1 towel included per person) The house is full of beautiful collections & very French styling that we loved and the children loved the traditional kitchen complete stunning drinks fridge. It’s a fabulous place to relax! "

"We are a group of 3 families with teenage children. We found the layout of the property suited our group well with the communal games room and dining areas. The pool and gardens are idyllic and we found the hosts charming. The local area has many picturesque villages, Château and markets to visit "

"Our extended family of ten spent an all too brief week at Karen and Dan’s sublime 16th century manse. The stone walls kept it cool inside - the kitchen was well equipped for family meals- the location is perfect for all you’ll want to do in this glorious region. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was very quiet and impeccably clean. And it’s amazing for each bedroom to be supplied with its own bathroom. The owners’ proximity for advice and assistance was invaluable. Everywhere you looked your eyes fell on nothing but beauty."

"The house was idealy situated for visiting many places of interest,Bordeaux,Bergerac and many chateau in the area. We were very disapointed with the standard of the property due to several issues.The house is very cold and damp and in some rooms has effected the wooden flooring,leaving a white deposit.Even in the kitchen, which has tiled flooring,surface water could be seen under our dogs bedding.The on-suite shower room wasn't very clean and had black mould around the shower tray and sink,which we had to clean ouselves.Although we had the use of an above ground swimming pool in the garden,it quickly became unusable as the grass,which was mostly weeds,became too long and unpleasant to wade through to get to the pool. Although I expect not everything to be perfect with an older property,I do feel the owners could pay more attention to these basic details.We were there for a month so these these things had considerable impact on our stay.We felt the owners put very little into running there gite and do the bare minimum."

"La p'tite bergerie is a beautiful gite, and has everything you need to make your stay homely and comfortable. It is set in an absolutely lovely area, very peaceful and relaxing, but is ideally located to many other towns, villages and sights this part of the Dordogne has to offer. Beatrice and Remy are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much for them, we really felt a friendship has been formed, so much so that we will be returning in December to enjoy their gite at Christmas time...can't wait! All in all it is a must for anyone who wants to stay in a home from home and enjoy the peace and quite of the wonderful surroundings. Many thanks A & B!"
