The house is even better than it looks in the pictures, especially the sitting room which is very comfortable. It was very clean and all equipment we needed was available. L'annonce n'indiquait pas une petite piscine hors sol et disait que l'habitation était entièrement climatisée hors il n'y avait pas de clim dans les chambres il fallait dormir les portes ouvertes. "we stayed there for a week, the house is beautiful on the outside (authentic) The large swimming pool is pleasant especially with those warm temperatures! Was also serviced twice during our stay by someone there on site. The house could use some freshening up on the inside, it was clean but in a French way 😉, especially the ants were annoying (they were even in our baguette 😱) Also nice and beautiful villages to visit nearby! The children had the time of their lives with the beautiful swimming...

"En famille pendant les fêtes de fin d'année nous avons grandement apprécié le calme, l'endroit et les multiples pièces de ce gîte particulièrement bien équipé. Nous n'avons eu aucune difficulté de communication avec le propriétaire et l'espace du grenier ( avec babyfoot, billard et BDs) ainsi que le grand jardin aménagé (pingpong, tennis, baskets, parcours du combattant ) a été bien exploité par nos ados. Une petite suggestion : renforcer un petit peu l'escalier en colimaçon qui mène à l'étage...

"really nice house that has it all. especially the kitchen where there was everything we normally have to buy ourselves. although with 2 sofas so there was room for all of us. large, nice bathroom and large bedrooms with good beds. the cleaning was top notch, there were no cobwebs. actually the best house we've been in, over the 9 years we've been on self-drive holidays. The host was quick and good at communicating and a good guide to the house was made."

"En pleine période de canicule, nous avons pu profiter de la fraîcheur à l'intérieur du gîte et à l'extérieur de la grande piscine et de la terrasse avec ses nombreux fauteuils, et bains de soleil au milieu des montagnes cévenoles. "We had a great time in Rousson. Apart from the weather, everything was perfect. Very nice kitchen, very good beds, everything well kept. Outside the pool was nice, the large garden with petanque, the great lawn chairs and the mancave which covered us against too much sun, but also against the rain. This villa is the perfect place to spend a few weeks in peace and quiet."

"The house is really great in all things. A bit off from the rest of the world, good place to take a time out. Perfect view, when the weather is good. Nice interior, very comfy and cosy, great for a small family. Wooden stove, so of you need the heating you have to make some wood, which was perfect for us. Nice huge garden. You can go directly for a small hike in the area. The owner and the neigbours are really nice. A few km to the next supermarche or boulangerie."

Better listing information needed.......

"We had booked this house, but after going to pick up the keys and seeing the property, decided that it was not suitable for our group. There was insufficient information on the site regarding the situation of the house - the map link was wrong and we had some difficulty finding the location (did not receive instructions from the host despite request). The house keeper requested several hundred Euro up front to cover cleaning fees, and bedding (not clearly stated on the information that bed linen and towels not provided), and a cheque to cover potential damage. This was not signalled at booking. The house set up meant that two rooms either had no easy access to a bathroom, or where loo paper had to be put in a bin (septic tank, I presume). This layout was also not clear from the listing. There were a number of things in the house that were flagged as broken that we should not use as they had been damaged by the previous renter. We were also told that we should only use the barbeque if we were prepared to pay a 100Euro fine if it was not considered to be adequately cleaned. The house sleeps 12, but access to the property up a steep single track, with no passing places and with limited space for parking at the house meant that it would be impossible to park and turn round three cars. This was also not obvious from the listing, and it would significantly help future renters to have better information on access clearly stated. "

A wonderful holiday

"The gite was very clean and comfortable, and everything was provided that we needed. The owner, Fabien, was very helpful, before and during the holiday, offering suggestions of places to visit and telling us about the history of the region.Great hospitality was shown to us. We appreciated our visits to both local and regional venues such as Nimes,Uzes, and the Cevennes National Park, and the pool was a great asset to us on very hot afternoons. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Merci Fabien."
