"Marie-Thérèse and her husband Réne treated us like royalty. She met us at the train station, gave us a ride to Carrefour and then shopped with us to help us get set up for our week in Saint-Malo. As a fair, but not fast, French speaker, I appreciated her nicely paced French which helped us understand her explanations as she showed us the dechetterie and explained the mag-lock security gates. "Une odeur prégnante de moisi et de renfermé (surtout dans le meuble contenant la vaisselle qui oblige à systématiquement la laver avant utilisation), le canapé type BZ est inconfortable, s'asseoir dessus est une épreuve ! Et les tapis au sol sont usagés et ne renvoient pas un ressenti de propreté. Dommage !! La petite cour est sympa mais un mini parasol ne suffit pas pour pouvoir y déjeuner. "A welcome bonus when we arrived at the station was the host picked us up and drove to the accommodation. Very clean & private in a good location. Close to shops and not far from old town. Host was very helpful providing local guidance. On booking, host sends direct email (which we missed) outlining special conditions including required deposit on arrival. We enjoyed our stay & recommend the place."

'Linens' are included - but when it came to towels, just one bath towel, and a few small towels....a lot of bedding - but nothing matching, several duvets and pillows- all taking up most of the space in the wardrobe. It would have been useful to have an info sheet to know where rubbish should be left - and some recommended restaurants. No wifi! And the steep hill to town centre or to the promenade may not suit all. Having said all...

"An absolutely wonderful vacation spot, and an amazing rental. The apartment was extremely well located, walking distance from everything, equipped with everything one could need, and a view you will never get tired of! A couple of issues during our stay to deal with cleanliness (did not hear back from Cocoonr until after stay, it would have been easier to hear back from them sooner.) They refunded our cleaning fee though. Parking is an issue particularly if you are staying during the summer...

"What a lovely little property - it had all we needed for our stay in St Malo. Ideally situated for 20 minute walk to the old town, the kitchen was very well equipped, the sofa bed was comfortable to sit on downstairs. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs were perfectly adequate and the bed was comfortable. It was a nice surprise to be provided with bedding, towels and soap. The only downside for us - as we are both over 60 was the steep staircase (which was clearly pictured) - but we did get used...
