"This old building has been converted to an attractive and comfortable gite, with excellent views from the garden. It's a long way up the hill so quite cool. Hard to find the right building as we did not have adequate directions. The giveaway is the owner's name on the cover for the electricity meter on the wall alongside the road. Cleaning, bedlinen and towels are extra."

"Lovely modern gite in the heart of Ardeche and equiped to a high standard. The driveway is a bit steep for a low profile car, mine ended up with scrapes under the bumpers but with care it was possible to monoeuvre. In truth the only real downer was the pool which is the largest I've ever seen for the sole use of a single gite but was simply too cold. I was assured the pool was heated but you couldn't tell, such a shame."

"Gite superbe, environnement aussi. On a tres bien été renseignés avant notre arrivée et très bien accueilli. A 15 mim du Puy en Velay et ballade a proximité. On y est resté que le temps d'un week-end alors qu'il y a pleins de lieux a découvrir aux alentours."

"The property is listed as a cottage when in fact it's an apartment, with another apartment below. It is also listed as having Games Room, Gym and Sauna, these are in fact within the hosts property about 40m away. On using the Sauna I was informed there would be a 10 Euro charge, no mention of this either at check in or on the listing. The Sauna was then locked for rest of our stay. There is also no mention of the hosts property being within the "Parklike Gardens" and that rooms are let out to...

"We (2 adults, 2 children) stayed in this property for a week in August. The property was very clean and everything was in good working order. Night-time and early morning temperatures were low due to the altitude, but it soon warmed up and by lunchtime it was quite hot. Le Chambon-sur-Lignon is quite small, but it has all the shops you might need during your stay (bakers, supermarkets, ice-cream parlours, pharmacy, etc.). "We returned to this Gite this year. We never do this and that shows how much we enjoy this property. It is perfect for families, the Gite itself and the gardens are beautiful. The pool is great and the boule and table tennis were enjoyed by everyone."
