"This pensione-style accommodation is an authentic Ottoman era house right on the doorstep of the Old Town. The room was very small and the ensuite was cramped which made for a claustrophobic feel, but the hosts were very friendly and one night gave me a free meal! And the position was perfect, I think fine for a one-night stay but beyond that there are better options."

"This property is an authentic Ottoman-style house in quite an affluent and quiet part of town, well away from the historic heart which is about 10 mins away by taxi. Yusuf and his wife are genial hosts and my room with ensuite was huge! Garden is nice as well. Just be aware that there is a mosque across the street with a loud call to prayer at 5am and Yusuf being an observant Muslim man does not like alcohol in his house."

"We had an amazing stay at Camilca Konagi. This is a family run guesthouse, hosts were lovely and so welcoming! The home was beautiful with its wooden architecture and felt like you had stepped back in time. Rooms were spacious and clean and the best part of the stay was the delicious homemade turkish breakfast served out in the garden. It provided such a homely feel! Last but not least when my friend left her mobile phone in the back seat of the taxi, the host contacted the taxi driver immediately to return the phone. We cannnot thank her enough for her hospitality and kindness! We will be sure to stay again if we return to the magical town of Safranbolu. Thank you!! : ) "

"This beautiful old ottoman hotel is beautiful. The rooms are quite basic but very clean and comfortable. The aircon was brilliant (it was very hot while we were in Safranbolu) and we had a lovely view from our room. The buffet breakfast was a fairly typical Turkish breakfast with plentiful options and we were very satisfied with it. The location is fantastic with jus a short walk to all the action. We only stayed 2 nights but wish it could have been longer . If we are ever lucky enough to return to Safranbolu we would definitely stay here again. An absolute delight & highly recommended "
