The lobby was locked at 6 pm and I had to check-in via those security windows with a pass-thru tray at the bottom. That should tell you how safe the area is. At least the door locked securely and the water got warm enough. Surpringly the shower was pleasant, especially for a corner triangular one. Neighborhood felt a little sketch, the property had litter here and there, the room was not well maintained and the "non-smoking" room have definitely been smoked in by others. We had a one queen bed room, and it was snuuuug. Would NOT stay at this property. 4 nights in a different Motel 6 is a different town (Lodi, CA) ....WAAAAY BETTER.
The door of the room seemed like it was broken. It locked but there was a lot of air coming in and y can hear everything outside. And I say 2 rats go into one of the maintenance closets. Also the hotel worker was very unclear about parking.
Homelessness and drugs are everywhere near this area. My room was non-smoking and smelled like cigs when I entered. The bed looked dirty and sheets had stain on it
limited parking. neighbors knocking on door asking for things and favors. somebody came to my door at 2 am asking to pee in my toilet... sink was leaking with flies coming out of it. sometimes the sink would gurgle as if there was sewage coming up in the pipes. lack of advertised amenities. air conditioner broken. refrigerator and microwave depicted in pictures online not actually in the rooms. deadbolt broken on door. bathroom had a deadbolt lock on the outside so you can lock people in the bathroom? strange place.
Felt unsafe the whole time with homeless and people just hanging and chilling by the entrance stairs. The parking areas is open and not gated so anyone can come in and out including break in to cars so be careful. The staff was decent and check in was easy.

Fairly clean on surfaces like bed and shelves. But doors, walls, heater door jams all need a good wash. Ok for 1 night. Got very loud a few times.
Perk, ihop next door. Desent price.
The screws which hold the latches to the door were all coming out (door unsecure). There were loud noises from the street all night. The shower had a leak. The shower door wouldnt close easily. There were black spots (mold?) and messed up parts of the plastic shower basin. The towels were rough and small. There werent enough blankets on the bed. The sheets were crappy. The soap was low quality. The ac unit in the wall was FULL of lint/dust.
I’m not an idiot, its a motel 6 downtown. Are my expectations unreasonable? Absolutely for a $60/night motel. HOWEVER, this one night cost me $232 base. Thats absolutely insane, do better or drop the price to $60.
