Summary:
Walking distance from small business shops, local breweries, eateries and the McGeorge School of Law. Close to the Golden 1 Center, restaurants and bustling midtown; the UC Davis Med Center is roughly 1 mile away, too. There's a small, private outdoor space. The backyard is shared with unit in front.
The Space:
We are a tucked hidden 1 bedroom apartment minutes away from Downtown Sacramento. The windows bring in natural lighting and the home is stylish.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to to the entire home.
The Neighborhood:
Oak Park is a rapidly gentrifying area. The area is generally quiet, but the home is near the freeway and there is a slight bustle of passing cars during the day. The house is about a 3 minute walk from the always fun broadway triangle; an area with great shops, breweries, GREAT FOOD and a kick ass bookstore. I love the Plant Foundry (nursery and garden) and i think you might, too.
Also, if you're stopping by in the Summer months (May - September) I highly recommend a visit to Oak Park Gather- a neighborhood event featuring local food and beverage vendors, cool crafts AND live music!
Getting Around:
If you get the chance, try the city's newest form of transit - electric bike sharing! JUMP Bikes are becoming more and more popular in the area and are a really fun way to get around. Of course Uber and Lyft are everywhere too!
Public transportation runs up and down the main cross street (Broadway); although I'm not the best with navigating the routes. Midtown is a 5 minute car ride away.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that the home is close to the highway. There is very subtle car noise at times.
NOTE: We do NOT HAVE cable services. We offer streaming services such as Netflix, Roku, Prime, & Hulu. (Guest has to use their own Netflix account)
Interaction with Guests:
At the front door, you can say "Hi" with the Ring Video Doorbell - just push the button (if you want to).
We leave basic household information on the kitchen table. This includes basic details about wifi, tv controls, lighting, temperature control instructions, etc. Netflix and Hulu Apps are available on the tv for guest use.
