"We couldn’t believe our good fortune to find this unbelievably gorgeous little village. Our chance to stay in an authentic medieval farmhouse in the valley of the Pyrenees, with all the modern conveniences we could desire. The owners’ ancestors built it slowly between 1400-1600. "The property is definitely unique in the sense that there were unpleasant surprises at every turn. The property is located on the side of a remote hill approximately 1 km up a treacherous one lane path. The signage to the property was nonexistent. Offsite parking was approximately 500 m away Thankfully, we had the foresight to purchase water, bread, cheese, and a bottle of wine in the closest town about 30 minutes away. If we had chosen not to we would have been forced to eat at the property....

"When arriving the owner informed us that she had no room free for us. She claimed not to be working with Expedia, but got very angry when we told her we will call Expedia customer care to get our money back. She started cursing at us in rather rude Spanish and left us to find a different place to stay at."

"The best thing about this stay was Pilar's (the host) hospitality! She is lovely, and despite the language barriers, we had some great chats with her and looked round her lovely home - she also made us the best sponge cake ever!!
