We booked this property for two nights for our family of five and were impressed with the beauty of the island and the lake. The main house was well done with great attention to detail and many amenities to make our stay more comfortable.
It's worth noting that this property is, in my mind, very remote and requires traveling 20km on logging roads (45 minutes driving confirmed by GPS) with only one other property along the way (that we could see) and no cell phone service. There was also a black bear cub at the entrance to the driveway (bear management is addressed in the guest manual at the house)
If we went again, I would plan to bring everything we need with us including food, emergency supplies, our SUV (rather than our minivan), a means of communication in case of trouble along the logging roads, and possibly water (the water is from local sources and not regularly tested for safe consumption). There is wifi cell service in the accommodations but not elsewhere so that bears keeping in mind.
We hadn't anticipated this and so when we left the next day to gather supplies, we ended up with a flat tire on the logging roads which cut our vacation short by a day. Luckily, the host was very understanding and credited us for our missed day. Again, this was a beautiful stay, just would need some more preparation than what we had anticipated, especially at the premium price point.
