This beautifully furnished and well-equipped holiday home makes a great base, and is located in the popular seaside town of Ryde with its host of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés, and is just a short stroll from the marvellous beach at Appley. The stretches of sand at Ryde offer fantastic views across the Solent to Portsmouth, with the landmark Spinnaker Tower forming an impressive backdrop to a busy shipping channel, where you can watch a range of freight, passenger and military vessels.
Along the promenade, you will find tennis courts, ten pin bowling, a fun fair, canoeing lake and a swimming pool, providing plenty to do locally. You can also enjoy the scenic coastal walks, go crabbing, sailing, fishing, horse riding, golf or even go-karting, all of which are easily accessible from the property. There are numerous attractions across the island to discover for all ages, including The Needles, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Make sure you take time to visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, and Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK. Also worth a visit are Ventnor Botanic Garden, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes, along with the further beaches of Sandown and Shanklin. Beach ½ mile.
