We are a group of 3 couples who rented this property because of its proximity to Rush Off Road ride park. Plenty of parking at the property and the park is about 20 minute drive away. The property itself has over 100 acres and the owner graciously offered that one of her relatives could show us the trails there. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and weren’t able to take her up on it. The place was clean, beds comfortable and the hosts provided everything we needed and were very responsive. Bathroom is remodeled and the master bedroom as well. There are two other rooms in the main house/ first floor which have been repurposed into bed space. The master bedroom has outside and inside doors. The other two bedrooms have outside access but no interior door. There is only one bathroom located off the kitchen, so due to the layout of the house, you have to walk through bedrooms to get to the bathroom. If you are a stickler for privacy, you would not be happy with this. We weren’t worried about it since our group travels together regularly. The kitchen is very tight because of having to get around the table, but there isn’t anywhere else to have an inside table without losing bed space. There are two large picnic tables outside though and several porch areas to sit and hang out in the evenings as well as a fire pit and firewood. There are additional bedrooms in the upstairs of the house but those only are accessed by outside doors which were locked, so we couldn’t speak about what those rooms are like. If you are into history (we are) and antiques and enjoy a quiet country setting, this place is for you. If you want a modern home with close by conveniences, this would not be a good fit. We enjoyed it and had a great time visiting. Thank you to our hosts!
