"Arosa is a quaint town and beautiful. Nestled in the mountains. The views are stunning and the weather and temperature very comfortable however higher elevation = greater UV and greater chances of sunburn. The Aves Arosa home base is ver clean and walkable from the train station and bus station. Note that the bus is actually a van and therefore limited in passenger and luggage capacity. "We liked the hard rock in Davos for years. Great hotel, nice bathroom, great breakfast. Wellness area is nice and relaxing. Dinner is not worth it- tastes good but really expensive. "

"Not sure it was clear that my room had a shared bathroom. HOWEVER, on my floor, only 3 rooms shared 1 bath and on the other side, 2 rooms shared another. Rooms and bathrooms are very nicely done and renovated. Sharing the bathroom wasn't a bother at all."

"Great staff, good food, beautiful views. The private Tschuggen Express cable car is extremely convenient and takes you right to all the hiking trails. Pass for all the Arosa cable cars is included. Only small drawback for the summer, is there is no AC, but it's perfectly safe to just keep the balcony door open at night to cool the room down."

"I had the best 5 day stay at mountain plaza in Davos. Before arriving I had requested to cancel a day for a refund as my plans changed. I called the front desk and had a lovely conversation with Fabio. This was a bit of foreshadowing to my stay. I arrived from Zurich and was delighted to discover it was just a few minutes from Davosnplatz train station, surrounded by shopping, dinning and entertainment, steps away from the ski hill jacobshorn. "This hotel was one of the best I have stayed in. The receptionist (blonde lady) spoke perfect English and was very helpful and friendly. The pool was open all day to 9pm, with a special child friendly time from 5-7 which my child adored, and it was very clean and modern. We parked in the garage underneath the hotel (for a fee) which you need your room card to gain access. This was safe and secure. Breakfast was from 8am until 10am and had a good range of items available. However please be warned...

"Loved this hotel and the convenient proximity to the train station. We had a very difficult time finding a place to have dinner as every place we tried said, “we are fully booked.” Not sure if it was because it was a Saturday night or not."

Great location and hotel

"The hotel has a beautiful bar and wonderful restaurant. The views from the room were spectacular. Our room in the Schloss was huge even though we just got a standard double room. There was even a walk-in closet. The decor was very traditional and the bathroom was big but was done in an old fashion style with a long narrow bath with a shower attachment. More modern decor is in the outer buildings.They have an elevator so accessibility is good in the Schloss except for the restaurant where there are a few steps to go up. The reception desk staff were very friendly and could speak multiple languages. I could converse in English with them. The location is very convenient with free parking. It is a very easy walk over to the thermal baths in the Bad Ragaz resort. Walking to the town center took me about 5 minutes. The breakfast at the hotel which is included was terrific with many options to appeal to different nationalities. The restaurant in the evening was wonderful with an Indian buffet."
