Relax at our River Front Cabin in Historic Upper Canyon

This three bedroom, two bath rustic cabin property lies on the bank of the Ruidoso River with a mountain ridge on the other side. Private location at end of cul-de-sac. Enjoy this fully furnished, well-equipped home as you take in the mountain breezes rustling the tall pines. This cabin boasts a large master bedroom with Queen sized bed and adjoining bath with shower. Two Jack-and-Jill bedrooms, one with twin over full-size bunk beds, the other a twin bed only, share a bath. Relax in our spacious living area (queen sofa bed, if needed) which opens to dining and kitchen areas. Our flagstone patio is a highlight for our guests as they listen to the flow of the river. Take your chances on catching a trout or two, if you like! (Fishing license required 12 and older, not included). A better chance to see wildlife as they stroll through the property is almost guaranteed!
If you insist on cooking or doing laundry (sometimes life happens!), we have you covered with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. WiFi, CableTV/DVD player and some board games available for your convenience. This listing is a non-smoking facility. Well-trained dogs are welcome, as long as they vouch for their owners. NO CATS! Available all seasons.

It’s a nice place! I enjoyed all the windows in the living room. East, south and West windows. Enjoyed looking at the River to the east of the living room. Kitchen table and kitchen window have a nice view as well.

It was a great place to relax. The only thing missing was a working gas grill, which was an inconvenience as we had to change our meal plans. However, I would definitely consider staying again and recommend it to family and friends.

We Love the “River Run” Rustic Charm
We visit Ruidoso every fall and River Run is where we stay! It’s a welcoming, charming, no-frills woodsy cabin located steps away from the river . The elk and deer visit daily. It’s quiet, it’s comfortable, it’s equipped with everything we need. The hosts are wonderful and their property manager & team are quick to take care of things, when they arise.

Over place is nice, title says it can sleep 8 people, we are a family of six and we could just fit. The images on the listing are not accurate, they show fire place could be used, but both are blocked with a sign not to use. That was one of the main reasons I selected this place. Not a bad place at all, I would recommend, just a little misleading on the title and photos.

We went on winter holidays to Ruidiso to spend my birthday and my daughter's, her 15th birthday. Everything was great, I was equipped with things I didn't use because the cabin had everything we needed. Very quiet neighborhood, cleanliness was good, it was lovely to enjoy the landscape and the river. Very happy to interact with the deer, being able to feed them and touch them. Very satisfied and would return to this cabin. Thank you.

Cabin is perfect for a family get away, the large patio with tables and chairs was a highlight, we all enjoyed sitting outside right by the river. Lots of elk came through the yard. The inside has enough space for everyone, 2 showers and restrooms and a huge kitchen table. It was everything we wanted from a cabin in the woods. Thanks again, we can’t wait to come back!

The cabin was older yet clean. As with any property, maintaining it is essential. We noticed some items & have informed the owners. Beds were a bit firm. The river is close, you can hear it running , very esthetic. Nice, quiet neighborhood ~ easy to & from town.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Even though this is in upper canyon near many other houses, it’s location right on the river is totally serene & quiet. You can hear the river & it’s totally surrounded by trees. Deer came right up to the house every day & a huge elk was sitting just a few feet away one day. Owners were very nice. We look forward to going back.
