This is an exclusive self-catering luxurious property situated in the middle of Roundstone village. If you require a different sea view every time you look out your window, this is the apartment for you.

The Ard View apartment has plenty of free parking outside the door and there is free WIFI available. It has oil fired central heating, a beautiful hand-crafted kitchen, all modern appliances, a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer and a large flat screen television.

The bedroom which possesses a very comfortable queen sized bed has the very best quality linen. This luxurious apartment boasts its very own Jacuzzi bath; the perfect place to relax after the numerous beach and hill walks which surround the beautiful village of Roundstone. Indeed, the world famous Dogs Bay and Gurteen beaches are less than 2 km from the village - both beaches boast miles of golden sand, crystal clean waters and are a swimmer's delight.

Situated a few metres from Roundstone House Hotel (Vaughan's) and O'Dowd's Seafood Bar and Restaurant, this apartment couldn't be more centrally located.

What better way to finish off your evening than taking your glass of wine onto the balcony and watching the boats return to the harbour with their catch of the day. Pure heaven!

Wonderful apartment
I had a wonderful time in roundstone. The apartment was clean and everything was perfect. The view was absolutely amazing. The water boiler in the bedroom might be a bit disturbing for light sleepers but I had no problems.

Fortyseven steps to heaven ;-)
We had a very lovely stay at ARD VIEW with Ann being an extremely generous host! The 180 degree view over the bay is stunning and we enjoyed it at all variations of weather that we had in one week. The apartment is cosy, spacey and well equipped with everything you need. Being thus close to heaven, the 47 steps were worth climbing. Recommendation: don‘t bring too much luggage ;-). Only one minus: the heating system located in the bedroom leads a life of its own and makes sometimes weird sounds, also at nighttime. The jacuzzi, however, is wonderful to relax.

This is a beautiful spacious apartment with spectacular views over Roundstone Bay to the Connemara mountains. We had a great week here and were very well looked after by Orla and the ladies at the Bogbean Cafe.

Everything about our stay in Roundstone was great. We loved the apartment and the ever changing views depending on what the weather was doing!! Having the Bogbean Café downstairs was an added bonus for a coffee and croissant for breakfast. Thanks Orla.

What a magical space, as soon as we entered the property all the stress and worries just dissapeared, the views are jaw dropping . A lovely space to just sit at one of the many windows or outside balcony with a nice glass of wine or cup of tea and just relax and watch the world go by. The village of roundstone is so charming with friendly locals and choices of places to eat and drink on your doorstep. A very special place indeed. We were very lucky and enjoyed a good spell of weather and the icing on the cake was a magical show of nothern lights, and no better place to watch the show was from the balcony.

Gorgeous!
The apartment is very spacious and has everything you need. You have a lovely view of Roundstone Harbour and there is even a small balcony to sit outside. The welcome was very warm and the hosts were super helpful! We were very lucky with the weather and this lovely apartment made our holiday perfect. There is a great cafe downstairs for breakfast and the pubs/restaurants are close by. We would definitely book here again.

The best view in Ireland
The apartment was perfect. It was well appointed, comfortable and had beautiful views over the harbour and the village. The Connemara is a lovely area to visit and Roundstone is an excellent place to use as a base. My wife and I would most highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic Irish experience. Book now.
This property is located in the centre of Roundstone with just an amazing panoramic view of the harbour. We were very comfortable staying here and it was the highlight of our holiday in Ireland. We are walkers and Roundstone was an ideal base for walking in the wilds of Connemara. There are brilliant walks to lovely places. If you want a great Irish experience then look no further. Book now before somebody else does.

Superb!
Wonderful stay in the modern spacious apartment with rooftop balcony. The views from every window are unbelievable and we spent many evenings watching the sun go down from our balcony. We had everything we needed here and after travelling around the beautiful Connemara area it was a joy to return to our superb apartment at the end of the day. We had a great Irish welcome from Orla who was always around should we have needed her - we'll be back!

Staying at the Ard View Apartment in Roundstone is a one-of-a-kind experience in a beautiful seaside Irish village. The reviews say it all: this is a beautifully furnished, modern and clean apartment, just as pictured, with stunning views out over the bay that in person are even more impressive. Very thoughtfully stocked with a welcome package of coffee, tea, sugar, paper products, and other necessities, including very nice bath products. Excellent restaurants and convenient food shops right in the village, a block from the front door. Vaughan's was a standout, we went twice and were blown away both times. The Shamrock Pub is a terrific local spot for a beer and a quick meal. Ann and her daughters, who run the very popular Bogbean Cafe downstairs, could not be more welcoming or helpful. In the best possible sense, you feel like part of the family. Ann even drove all the way to meet us at Lough Inagh with our cell phone after we had checked out, just so we wouldn't miss our boat trip on the Killary Fjiord! That was one of the nicest things ever done by a landlady! Thank you Ann! The Ard View is a perfect base from which to explore Connemara, or just relax and soak in the views. Thank you Anne for a wonderful vacation.

We loved our stay.
We were really happy with our stay at this penthouse apartment right in the heart of Roundstone village. From the moment of our arrival when we me Orla, our Host, we felt totally at ease and at home. The apartment is as outlined in the VRBO site. The views are breathtaking. Before arriving, questions such as where to store bikes safely and parking for our car we’re immediately addressed. We spent 7 days here and used it as a base for day trips and bike rides all over Connemara. We cannot wait to return again to this apartment and location. It was so comfortable, attractively laid out and a pleasure to hang out in on the one rainy day! Thank you Orla and Ann for your hospitality, Mary & Austin .

Sublime Roundstone Apartment
This is a truly wonderful apartment with utterly stunning panoramic views seen from it across all of Bertraghboy Bay and north to the ‘Twelve Pins’ . Add into this mix host Ann and her family’s very kind hospitality; glorious sunshine almost all week; the natural charm and friendliness of a pretty village with fine bars and restaurants; scenic coastal and bog drives and long walks along white beaches and machair of Gorteen and Dogs Bay, then it doesn’t really get any better! A failed attempt to climb to the top of Errisbeg from the SW was our only failure, but even that uncovered a small hill bog lough with rising fish that later netted me 4 small brown trout to a dry fly before breakfast. We will be back. Thanks again Ann.

Lovely Penthouse Apartment with Gorgeous Views in a Nice, Friendly Town
My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights this winter. The apartment is clean, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The views are outstanding. There is a deck off the kitchen that would be great to use in the summer time. The kitchen has all the hardware you need to make your meals. The town of Roundstone is beautiful, and the people were very friendly. As it was winter, most of the restaurants in town were closed and I was concerned that we might be stuck eating pub grub all week, but knew we had a kitchen if we wanted to eat something else. I didn't need to worry. O'Dowd's across and down the street is a wonderful pub and restaurant. We ate there every night and enjoyed every meal. I particularly recommend the fisherman's platter. We enjoyed our stay so much we're thinking of coming back this summer and staying for a couple of weeks.

Amazing Views from "Ard View" Penthouse Apt.
My husband and I stayed in this amazing apartment with its absolutely spectacular views for a week over the busy Roundstone Regatta weekend in July last summer. I know, I'm writing my review months later, but this apartment and the hospitality offered by Orla and her housekeeper warrant a review of some sort, even a late one at that. We both loved the space! It's a bit of a trek up the stairs, but worth every step as the view is panoramic. We both appreciated the small balcony and spent many hours sitting in the fresh air watching the Galway Hookers race across Roundstone Bay. The kitchen has everything, even cooking oil and spices. A small grocery store is directly across the street. Several excellent restaurants line the quaint main street of the village. I highly recommend this apartment.

Top Notch But....
We enjoyed our stay at the Penthouse Apartment. The views and decor are all top notch. The welcome treats and friendliness of Orla, Theresa and Nolleen were much appreciated. The peacefulness of Roundstone was fabulous. The proximity of Clifden for supplies, shopping and traditional music was perfect. The drive on the Bog Road was spectacular with its rugged terrain, great views and plenty of newly born lambs with their mothers. But the apartment needs some TLC. The stove's dials are no longer readable, worn off from lots of use. And the oven door does not close tightly. It has an electric fireplace but only one heat setting works and the bulbs do not work so no fire glow. The kitchen chairs are stained and need refinishing or replacing. With a little more tender loving care this great accommodation could be made even better.

Beautiful Penthouse with Stunning Views
My husband and I have just spent a week in this lovely comfortable apartment, it's all that the description says it is and more. Lots of little extra touches that were much appreciated (love the china sheep on the kitchen worktop!). having dishwasher tablets, kitchen rolls & tissues etc. was also very helpful. Very comfortable bed with quality linens and pillows. The all round views are stunning, watching the sunrise from the kitchen is a view to remember. We struggled to think of any improvements to Ard View, the only minor things we could think of was perhaps a wall clock in the lounge/kitchen area and a plastic beaker in the bathroom for use as a tooth mug as I was worried about having to use a glass tumbler from the kitchen. We didn't meet Ann during our stay but were looked after very well by her daughter Orla who owns & runs The Bogbean B&B & Café which is below the apartment. She was always ready to answer any questions and give suggestions about trips in the surrounding area. The village of Roundstone is delightful, very friendly people with plenty of nice places to eat & drink. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Connemara.

An outstanding penthouse apartment
My husband and I spent a wonderful two weeks in the Ard View apartment last summer. It was ideally located in the middle of the village and we were within a two minute walk of some fantastic bars and restaurants. The apartment itself was so comfortable and it felt like ‘home away from home’. As the weather was so warm and sunny last year, we spent hours sitting out on the balcony watching the boats coming and going – and gazing across at the islands in the distance. You truly couldn’t find a nicer place than Roundstone to spend your holidays. The local beaches must be amongst the best in the country – we visited Dogs Bay and Gurteen beach on alternate days – we couldn’t decide which one was the nicest. In the evenings, we’d stroll across to O’Dowd’s Bar and Restaurant and sample the local chowder, mussels, scallops or whatever fresh fish was caught that day. Washed down with a few glasses of Guinness, we both agreed that there was no place in the world that we would rather be than Roundstone in the sunshine. Ann was such a pleasure to deal with. She told us that she had ran the local hotel (sadly now closed) for many years – and her attention and kindness to her guests was evident in every dealing we had with her. Did we mention the quality of the beds and the linen? It was a pleasure to hit the sheets at night – superb quality and night after night of restful and peaceful sleep. Roundstone and Ard View has captured our hearts and we will return later this year if all goes as planned. Very often we take time for everyone else but ourselves .... if you want to devote some time to yourself in the future – try the Ard View Apartment and Roundstone in the summer ... I guarantee it will set you up for the long winter months.
