"Property was easy to get to, the strung lights in the yard was a nice touch as we arrived after dark. Nice setting, with big back porch and chairs on a nicely mowed large yard. "We recently stayed at Double K Lodging and had a great experience. Double K is located out in the countryside close to Round Top. There are three cabins available to rent, all located in a beautiful bucolic setting near a large pond, but with plenty of space separating them. We stayed in the Farmhouse which is right next to shore of the pond and it was cozy, clean, & comfortable. There is also a very nice pool near the cabins which we enjoyed during our stay. "If you want an awesome weekend get away that isn't too far from your home, I highly highly recommend this place, especially with kids! My kids had so much fun paddle boarding, fishing, playing with the cows and other animals, chasing after the turkeys and peacocks, and playing with Bailey and Biscuit the farm dogs who are super friendly! "My longtime friend and I stayed at this adorable bungalow for the weekend and had such a great time. The house was very clean and just adorable! The area was quiet and so picturesque. Very convenient to Fayetteville, Round Top, Bellville, Brenham and La Grange. Perfect midway point between Houston and Austin. We had so much fun shopping in the area and then just chilling out on the front porch with a glass of wine and catching up. Would not hesitate to book again."
