"I was very pleasantly surprised by this property. i had booked a single room. when i entered i saw the bed,cupboard,desk etc. and i though well this is nice. then i opened the what i initially thought was a connecting door and voila... 2 more "rooms" appeared. yes, there are 3 separate rooms in this single room. one bedroom, one bathroom and one wc! it's like a mini suite! this is also the first time ever i saw an aircondition unit installed in a room around these parts. a fact that just...

"The room was just about "OK". The surcharge for double occupancy over single occupancy for a double room was unreasonably high. Finally, when we informed the hotel three days in advance that we would NOT be having breakfast on our last morning, they still insisted on charging us for two breakfast, which was very upsetting."

"The location is quite remote, meaning it’s easy to get by car and a bit more complicated by train. But that’s what I wanted. The rooms are excellent. New and smell fresh wood. Mine had a little kitchen with all the cups, plates and forks. Breakfast - traditional German, no problems. Good coffee and fresh eggs. Very quite. Maybe the only disadvantage is that it’s hard to reserve it and price is a bit high, but it’s so worth it. "

"Ich kann nur das Appartment 3 bewerten. Die Unterkunft ist klein und praktisch eingerichtet. Bad ist neu renoviert. Das Schlafzimmer ist leider sehr klein und das Bett auch nur ca. 1,40m breit. Die "Terrasse" ist leider nur der Durchgangsweg zur nächsten Wohnung. Man hat also keine Privatsphäre. Die Lage ist gut. Ein kleiner Einkaufsmarkt ist direkt nebendran. Zum See läuft man ca. 10 min."

"Our guesthouse apartment (#5, top floor) was very nicely built. clean, and spacious. It is right in the center of the small town of Alpbach. Overall - a lovely place to stay but you need to know about the parking, laundry, etc. The booking info on Orbitz said there was free breakfast and underground parking. Neither was true. "Viele Zimmer, eine großer, sehr gemütlicher Gastraum, ein weiterer Aufenthaltsraum (Konferenzraum), eine zweckmäßig eingerichtete, geräumige Küche, eine super Lage und ein umsichtiger, überaus zuvorkommender Gastgeber. "A poor choice by us. No sense of comfort after a long drive along the Alpenstrasse. Old mis-matched and shabby furniture. I’ve stayed in worst places but don’t remember when. "Wir haben uns in dem Apartment rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist perfekt: Bad Tölz Zentrum ist in nur 10 Minuten erreichbar und man kann auch super tolle Wanderungen und Spaziergänge direkt von dort starten. Bei Rückkehr haben wir den tollen Kaffee, Tee, Kuchen und Bowls im wunderbaren, entspannten angeschlossenen Café genossen! "

"Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der Hund hatte im Garten viel Auslauf! Wir konnten direkt in Badekleidung rüber zum See laufen. Das Zimmer sehr einfach aber mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder!"

"Beautiful, very comfortable property, a variety of restaurants and wonderful staff! I would highly recommend staying here!! Some small things to note: - there is only 1 washer/dryer in the basement, you need E1 coins to operate & you own laundry soap. It would be nice if there was more than 1 machine, I can only imagine how busy it is in the winter during ski season. Also, it would be nice if individual laundry detergent was sold onsite as grocery stores are not nearby & have limited hours....

"This was exactly what we expected and ao much more. A little escape in the mountains with beautiful views and you can absolutely walk everywhere while feeling completely safe. I would recommend this over and over again. "

"Absolute Empfehlung! Eine Stunde Aufstieg zum Hotel mit toller Aussicht. Jeder Schritt hat sich gelohnt - die Unterkunft ist mit so viel Liebe und Charakter eingerichtet und es war rund um stimmig. Super gemütliches Zimmer und großer Aufenthaltsraum zum Entspannen. Sehr leckeres Essen - Frühstück und Abendessen sehr zu empfehlen. Der Saunabesuch war eine tolle Möglichkeit, den Aufenthalt ausklingen zu lassen! "

"Super friendly & helpful staff at reception. Helped us find a dining venue & organised free tourist tickets for the fortress. We parked directly under the hotel with easy hotel access. Breakfast was a generous spread of the usual European options. The view of the fortress at night from the balcony of the spa area was spectacular. Room was basic, but sufficient."

"We are very glad with the choice we've made. It was an excellent retreat! The overall facility was in great shape and easy to get around. The breakfast was fabulous! We loved the spa, especially in the evening after our arrival when we struggled with a 6-hour jetlag as well as the next day after skiing at Kitzbuhel. Our room was next to the elevator and we were concerned about noise. However, the sound insulation was so good that it felt like nobody else was in the hotel. We will definitely consider it again when visiting the area. "
