Comms with host were excellent with quick responses to any queries and worthy recommendations of places to eat. Apartment was however very warm in the summer sunshine and being close to a busy road meant that sleeping with windows open was difficult - luckily we had packed earplugs! A little further from the centre of Friedrichshafen that we had imagined, but cycle routes made journey to the centre...

"So clean, kitchen well equipped, setting is charming. In town but nearly surrounded by apple orchards. The hosts spoke English and were very welcoming and helpful. One afternoon we enjoyed the patio. Lovely area to walk, very convenient to bus stop when you want to visit Lindau Island. Parking for our car. Highly recommend."

"The apartment is beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable for indoor- outdoor living. Lovely walks direct from the house and if you don’t mind very steep hills you can walk up through the forest or down to the village to local restaurants and a bakery. The lovely towns and villages near the lake and supermarket are very accessible by car. Julius is a great host. We had a lovely stay"

Sie selbst hat ein schön renoviertes Bad (leider ohne Fenster), der Rest wirkt auch schön, jedoch im "alten Stil". Es ist schön ruhig, gut geeignet zum Entspannen, aber trotzdem nicht allzu weit vom nächsten Supermarkt. The main level was okay temperature wise with a travel fan; however, the third floor was horrible even with a travel fan. I would highly recommend investing in two fans per room or air conditioning. Bed was comfortable; however, I would invest in real pillows or definitely bring your own. Overall we had a lovely stay. The elevator did breakdown once but was fixed within 24 hours.
