"Our overall stay experience was great. There was a plumbing issue on the bathroom so they upgraded us to a deluxe room for the rest of our stay at no extra cost which we appreciated. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cheaper but clean room to stay in Canberra. "

"We were very pleasantly surprised by this property! While it was a little dated it was very clean and comfy. We particularly picked this motel for dog friendly as we needed to bring our 2 border collies with us this time. There were approximately 12 dogs staying with owners tis particular weekend as the Royal Canberra Dog Show was on. The feedback we got from talking to the dog owners was how great this place was and we couldn't agree more. Both we and our 2 dogs were very comfy here, beds were pretty good and the shower was probably the best that I have anywhere including 5 star. The owners took great pride in providing a great service and I would not hesitate to book here again. Thank you very much for a very positive stay, you deserve a great review"

"We spent 3 nights in the Garden City hotel on a visit to Canberra. It is well out of town for anything within walking distance but a 10-15 minute drive will get you anywhere you want to go. The hotel is well priced compared to others close to the CBD. The room was clean, the bed was big and firm and the shower was the best I have ever experienced in a hotel. The pressure available was tremendous. We did not have breakfast there, preferring to find a café a few minutes away so I cannot comment on it. There is a German Club next door which has very well priced meals if you don't want to go into town. There is also a golf club across the road, we did not try it but I assume food would be available there as well. Overall, gathered that you need a car to get to most attractions in Canberra no matter where you chose to stay, this is a great option"
