"Our second time at the Bay Leaf on our trip to the Andaman Islands. We found the BL to be a modern well run hotel and a good central location. We stayed in two types of rooms we found both to be of a good standard. Eg: comfortable beds, clean well maintained bathrooms and good AC/Fans. The rooftop restaurant /Bar is a nice place to eat dinner or enjoy a cocktail overlooking Port Blair, once again we found the level of service excellent. "Avoid Sakthi Holidays Inn if you are a foreigner I had a frustrating experience with Sakthi Holidays Inn and Expedia.at that every non-Indian traveler should be aware of. I booked and prepaid a Deluxe Room at Sakthi Holidays Inn via Expedia.de. Upon arrival, the hotel denied our stay, claiming they had no record of our reservation, despite me showing them confirmation of booking and invoice.
