"Stayed in a cabin for 5 nights with our 2 children. Cabins were great value for money and had everything we needed including not having to bring our own bedding or towels! Kids loved the loft bedroom. Cabin kitchen basic but more than enough to cook a decent meal with 2 ring hob and oven plus a few saucepans. Cabin bathroom was really clean with warm shower. "Es gab viele Spielmöglichkeiten für die Kinder und der naheliegenden Strand mit Steg war auch sehr beliebt bei uns. Trotz einige Häuser drum herum, war es sehr ruhig. Das Haus liegt in einer Art Tal, so dass man die anderen Häuser nicht sehen kann."

"Would absolutely recommend this cottage. Compact, but we were 5 (3 kids 2 adults), and never felt like we were on top of each other. Right next to the water and a south facing terrace. We would go back."

"We had a lovely time by the lake. The house was lovely: clean, bright and comfortable, with attention to detail, and hosts very welcoming. Surrounded by nature, we loved the silence - you hear nothing but the lapping of the water! The weather was good so we were able to paddleboard and swim a couple of times, and spent a day relaxing by the water. The supermarket and hourly ferry to and from Stockholm (50 minute journey) within 5 minutes by car. A lovely stay!"

"Our time on Gistholmen was FANTASTIC! However, it started with the hiccup of the VRBO description being on the wrong island (it is NOT on Ingmarsö Södra, an 8 minute walk from the ferry dock as the description is or at least was, hopefully that gets updated!). It is on Gistholmen that you need to take the Waxholmsbolaget ferry to (no need to book ahead, but depending on the day and season there might only be two potential drop-off and pick-up times). The most difficult part was that we arrived on a weekend and there isn’t anyone at reception. we also arrived quite late in the day and we weren’t able to access the property to then use their landline to call them and check-in.
