This hilltop retreat boasts views of lovely Higgins Lake from the front deck and most of the home. The lake is very short walk away. Higgins Lake is a 10,000 acre all sport lake with sandy beaches and crystal clear water. Enjoy all seasons from this home. South Higgins Lake State Park is 2.8 miles away and offers boat launch, trails, and sandy beach. Many activities available in this nature lovers wonderland such as: fall color tours, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, boating, snow skiing snowmobile trails, and ice fishing.

Please note regarding the one review- coffee pot was replaced (we also keep a new spare one just in case. We were not made aware of any issues. The oven does work.

There’s a really nice walking path that goes along the lake at the end of the road. It’s to the right if you are facing the lake.

Fabulous place
Perfect location and easy access to the water. The house is so clean and that’s very important to me. They had everything we needed. Eric was so responsive to wvery little detail I asked. Thank you to Eric and his wife for a fabulous stay I will return! I highly recommend this house.

Family vacation at best
My family stayed at the cabin for almost a week. This place is wonderful! Very clean, more then enough space for our family of 5. Living room is cozy, comfy couches , TV and DVDs . Beds very comfortable, bathrooms clean , lots of towels , provided soap , shampoo etc. Nice kitchen, with everything that you need for cooking and dining. We enjoyed sitting by the bonfire, grilling. Kids loved the floats and tubes avaliable to guests. Shared dock is just 2 minute walk away and its fabulous. My kids hang out there everyday. We will be definitely coming back! Great cottage and amazing location.
This was our second stay this summer at this lovely place. It is very comfortable with lots of sleeping options. The kitchen is well stocked and has a gas grill available outside. You are a very short walk to a road end with a dock. Kayaks (2) and water toys are provided. There is also a wonderful trail that goes along the lake. Smart TVs (2) are nice for rainy days. Outdoor fire pit with chairs are perfect to relax in the evening and enjoy s’mores.

This property was wonderful. We had such a great stay. The lake was super relaxing, and we made use of the innertubes and kayaks provided by the hosts. Great food in the area as well. We just left this morning, and our kids are already asking when we can go back.

Great cabin, close to Higgins Lake!
We had a great time at this cute cabin. Location was just up from a road end with a community dock and an amazing walking trail near the lake. Comfortable bed and living room furniture. Kitchen was well stocked and smart tv worked perfectly. Partial lake view from living room, dining room and front porch that has very comfortable chairs. Provided kayaks were wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Outstanding host. Excellent place to stay if you love a relaxing warm home. Attended a wedding at a close venue in Higgins Lake. Two bathroom was great for multiple individuals to get ready for the wedding. Would love to come back next Fall to take more time to see the beautiful fall colors. Will recommend to family and friends.

This is a cozy, yet spacious cottage. I love the various outside seating areas, the separation of two bedrooms, and how well supplied the cottage is in terms of supplies and recreation toys. There is a lake view and a short walk to the lake itself. This is a great spot for year-round outdoor activities or just disconnecting and chillin.

Cabin was great for the two of us. Two bathrooms was amazing (smaller shower is very small). Large kitchen made cooking and prepping meals a breeze. TV with cable was great for the few rainy days we had. Would love to stay again!

Perfect week away
The house was perfect for us. The only downfall was that we didn't have a larger group this time. The house is set up perfect for larger groups. We loved our stay. The beds were comfortable, which is a bonus when you travel. It was well stocked and maintained. Lovely fire pit with edison lights twinkling. Very nice. We would certainty rent here again.

Couldn’t of asked for a better place!
We stayed here for a week and there isn’t one bad thing I can say about this place. We definitely didn’t want to come home. The house was very clean and had everything you could need. The real bonus was having a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. We loved the bonfire area with the lights hanging above. Very cozy and in a quiet neighborhood close to the lake. The bunkhouse room and second bathroom was great for the kids and was very spacious. Owners checked in on us and even left us a bottle of wine! We will definitely be back! Thank you Eric and Leigh Ann for allowing us to stay in your piece of paradise for the week.

Great way to experience Higgins Lake!
We had a wonderful time enjoying Higgins Lake, and all it has to offer, while relaxing at this beautiful cottage! The house was clean, and close to the lake. The outdoor area with fire pit was perfect for nighttime fires, and the kayaks were an awesome amenity to get to enjoy with the property. We will definitely be back!

Great little get away
Our stay was great! The cabin was clean and came with some awesome perks like the kayaks, cornhole boards and bikes that can be used. The ourdoor fire pit area was amazing! The only complaint that could be made is the outdoor chairs were pretty dirty, but im sure those would be hard to keep clean with all the bugs and spiders around up there. It was a great place to stay I'm sure we will be back again.

Cute house and very close to Higgins Lake!
The house was clean and looked just like the pictures. My kids loved sleeping in the bunk beds. The house sits about a block from the lake and you can see the lake through the trees. We were hoping to use the fire pit but the fire danger was so high because of lack of rain so we decided it was best not to make a fire. We loved the string of lights over the fire pit to illuminate the area at night. There's also a little foot path down by the lake and that was nice to walk. The owner had even checked in to see how our stay was. My kids didn't want to leave!! Would definitely go back in the future!

The No Snow Adventure
Our group of 4 headed to Michigan for a x-country skiing experience. None of us had been to Michigan or the Great Lakes. There was no snow but Michigan had a lot to offer. Our quarters in Roscommon on Higgins Lake was adorable. We would highly recommend the cottage and the area. Our only grievance was the inability to use the fireplace; it had a lock on it. We also did not read the amenities carefully, therefore we misunderstood our inability to use the washer/ dryer.
