"I wanted something different than the ordinary. I was struck by the photos and descriptions. Even though a wide angle lens was used, but I knew that. The house was nicely furnished with virtually all one could need in the kitchen. My sister and I are both over 70 and the stairs were a bit challenging as they were steep. "We had a lovely stay at Montbrun des Corbieres. The village is very quaint, no shops or boulangerie, but a very good bread vending machine once you got the hang of it.! Great location for touring the Languedoc-Roussillon region, within 1.15 hours drive of Perpignan, Montpelier, Toulouse etc. 25 mins from Carcassonne and Narbonne. Canal du Midi 15 mins. Check out La Redorte for great canal side restaurant. Beware most restaurants in the area close at 2pm and re open at 7pm. So if you are eating...

"Au bout d'un chemin de 5 kms, nous avons découvert un cadre idyllique, au milieu de la forêt et des oliviers, dans un calme absolu. Les hôtes sont adorables, très attentifs et disponibles. Tout proches, nous avons découvert des paysages magnifiques, des villages perchés, des gorges, des vallées, la montagne, qui nous ont enchantés. "The wine cottage was the perfect home base for our stay in the south of France and exploring the rich history of the area.
