Excellent value for an outstanding property
I agree with all the comments about the great location. There 2 authentic restaurants (Il Bacaro and Taverna 48) literally outside the door on a side street that has more of a courtyard vibe. The building is quite historic so you get the feel that this is the real deal. Kitchen and bath are cramped and basic--you will not cook a meal here. The rooftop terrace was beautiful. It would be nice to have some comfortable furniture to enjoy your own aperitivo overlooking the rooftops. Don't bring a car--there is no place to park it. We flew into Rome, took public transportation to the apartment. After 3 days we took a taxi back out to the airport to pick up our rental car for the rest of our Italy trip. We groaned climbing all those steps but feel it got us in shape for the rest of our trip!

We stayed for a week with our 16 yr old son and we had plenty of space and could not have asked for a better location. Close to attractions, taxi stand if needed, restaurants. This was so much more authentic than a hotel! Very happy and hope to be back.

Great location, but subpar bathroom scenario
While the location and communication with the owner was great, the bathroom and overall condition of the apartment wasn't ideal. The shower had such low water pressure, we weren't able to get the shampoo fully out of our hair. I don't think I've ever had this happen before in my life. The photos on website need to be updated to show the current condition of the apartment. It was fine, but very bare bones and not as clean as I would have expected based on other reviews.

Cool neighborhood
This is a top level walk up - be prepared for a climb. The master bedroom is another flight up a circular staircase, where there is also an outdoor terrace with a view of nearby roofs. The living room is large but sparsely furnished. The bathroom is on the main level, and while small, the shower was excellent. This is a great place to stay to sleep, which was great for us because we spent all day every day enjoying Rome.

Our group really staying in neighborhood that was close to the sights but didn’t feel touristy! We were prepared for the steps to the 4th floor apartment so that wasn’t an issue for us! We were able to enjoy the balcony when the weather was warm and can only imagine how wonderful it would be in the summer.

Love the location! Close to restaurants, shops and sights. Great staff, incredibly helpful. We spent most of our time on the terrace! If stairs are not your thing be careful! But definitely worth the climb.

We really enjoyed the apartment, it’s location in the heart of the old city, wonderful roof deck and overall rustic charm. We had a few minor issues in the beginning that were responded to immediately by the property manager and resolved quickly, which we appreciated. The location is in a very active area so it can be a bit noisy at night- but that was expected. We’d recommend the apartment to others with this understanding.

Apartment was great for what we needed. It is easy walking distance (under 2 km) to all the major sites in Rome. Quiet back street with a good restaurant feet from the main door. Terrace was great for an evening cigar and glass of wine. As long as stairs are your friend, I would recommend this property.

The apartment has a great location, and the roof terrace is amazing. There are lots of nice places to eat very close to the apartment. We had a great stay. The only small thing we struggled with was the wifi, as we could only really get it in the kitchen, but apart from this we enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Short walk to Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Most other destinations were walkable. We never took a taxi. Tavernetta 48 is a very good restaurant located outside the front door. Check in was thorough and the agent was very friendly. Very easy to communicate with the staff. 68 steps to the apartment, so get in shape! It is also off the Main Street and very quiet, a big plus.

This property is a gem. Perfect location, 5-20 walk to most sites AND it is on a very quiet street. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. As others have mentioned, there are some stairs to climb to get to the apartment and inside a spiral staircase to the second floor bedroom, but the view from the rooftop balcony makes it all worth the climb!

This property is authentic, beatify, quaint. The perfect size for what we needed. It is clean. The views are amazing. There are a lot of steps. And I mean a lot. So you must be willing and able to do them. But to us each one of those steps was worth it. It was our joke every day. Loved our stay! Great Hosts! Would recommend to everyone!

Unbeatable Location to Explore Rome!
We were blown away by the location of this Rome apartment. All the places we wanted to explore were walkable from the location and there were excrement restaurants and bars just downstairs. This is an old building, but that is the charm of it. As other reviews and the description state, the stairs are no joke! If you have to cart multiple suitcases up - just be prepared for a workout! While it is small, it has everything you need including a washer. The rooftop terrace is fabulous, as well. My only recommendation would be to make the beds a little more comfortable. The communication and check in was excellent. We had no surprises. If you have good knees and you want a prime location to explore Rome, this apartment is a gem.

Great location. Grateful that the person who greeted us carried my massive suitcase up the stairs. There is no elevator. There are a lot of stairs so place would not be ideal for someone not fit. Also a steep spiral staircase to bathroom.
