Location:
The GetInRome Vaticano apartments are located in a strategic point, a stone's throw from St. Peter's Square and the Vatican, just a few minutes away from Castel S. Angelo and the splendid Spanish Steps. Stain is not absolutely necessary.
The apartments are just a stone's throw from the Ottaviano Metro stop, with which you can reach easily and in a very short time the other important poles of the city. (Colosseum, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, Circus Maximus etc.).

Just some info that may be important for you:
Most major tourist destinations, like Rome, have regulations that govern private room or apartment renting. Basically any room or apartment that rents space without respecting these regulations is not legal.
Those who aren’t authorized to be renting their properties are surely incapable or unwilling to abide by other laws that are all connected.

Why should you care?
Booking an illegal rental puts you at risk of being stranded without a place to stay if a property owner is forced to comply with the law and removes their rental from the market.

Safety. Hosts who circumvent the rental permit process are also less likely to follow regulations. If you don’t care about the law and preventing disasters, you really don’t care much about the people they might happen to.
At check in it is requested a city tax of 6 euros per person per day by the City Of Roma to pay in cash at check in.

Rome Visit
This location could not have been better. 8-10 minutes from St Peters. All major attractions are walkable. Didn’t get on transit at all in six days. The property manager was extraordinary helpful. Ride arrangements to and from airport and restaurant recommendations were great. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. Good proximity to grocery and laundry made it ultra convenient.

Amazing apartment near the Vatican
This property is amazing and located in a very pretty neighborhood near the Vatican. The owner was very friendly and offered many recommendations that most tourists may not know about. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone planning a visit to Rome.

Room was great but there were no instructions on how to work the A/C remote control. It kept shutting on and off and we couldn’t figure out why. Very nice host and very clean property. Our key to the main door was worn and broke in the lock and had to pay an additional two $80 euros to get it fixed. Location is great, host was great …neighbors not so nice when they found out it was your key that caused a problem.

Great apartment in perfect location
Great apartment in quiet, safe neighborhood. Convenient to everything. Host was wonderful and even coordinated an early check in. Apartment had working A/C and a modern bathroom. Perfect for my daughter and me. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that I had to pay for sheets for the pullout. I feel like if you are going to advertise the pullout, you should not have to pay extra for the linens. Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely book again.

Plumbing and AC Issues
First, I would like to start with the good. The location was amazing and really central to the destinations we wanted to see. The bed was really comfortable. The shower was really pleasant as well. I really liked the rainfall shower head. Now, for the not so good. There were two AC units in the apartment. One in the living/kitchen area, one in the bedroom/bathroom area. The AC for the bedroom area smelled like a combo of mildew, dirt, and old workout clothes. Either the unit hadn't been cleaned in a while, had a really old filter, or was frozen at one point, and there was a pool of liquid somewhere in unit, because it was awful. To make matters worse, it blew right on the bed. After the first night, I woke up coughing and phlegmy the next day. We finally had to turn the unit off. The bathroom was a whole different situation. I understand that plumbing is extremely different than in the United States, but this was just bad. It smelled like raw sewage. I know it wasn't normal either as we had family stay in a different vacation rental right down the street and they did not have the same issues at all. We brought the two issues up with the host. She said she had never heard of this happening before. I'm not sure how that's possible. She told us to run the water on the bidet. It didn't really help when you walked in after a long day of walking to the smell of a port-a-potty. We didn't feel like she responded well and the issues were never resolved.

This cozy apartment made our stay in Rome perfect! Alessandra was so accommodating and even arranged to have a driver pick us up at the airport. Communication was excellent. The location was very convenient to all of the sights we wanted to see. Would highly recommend this property if you are planning a visit to this area.

The accommodations were clean and convenient. Everything was good but the mattress needs replaced badly. We tried turning it every way possible to get away from the large indentation but there was no way to get it in a spot where both sides were comfortable.

Alessandra met us and showed us into the apartment. She was very friendly and informative. When we asked about the sheets for the sofa/bed she said it'll cost more to have them delivered. The bathroom and bedroom lacked hooks for hanging. The location was wonderful. Easy walk to restaurants and the cab station.

Great apartment in prime location.
Alessandra was very kind. Met us at the apartment and took us inside. Showed us everything we needed to know. Gave great recommendations on where to eat and have drinks. The restaurant she recommended was awesome. We tried a few things and they were so good that we went back for a second time. The apartment is walking distance to the Vatican and the metro is a block away. The AC works great and the TV has Netflix and YouTube. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water but not great water pressure when on hot but this seems to be common in Italy. Our stays (all 4 of them) were similar. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone that is planning a trip to Italy.

Alessandra was a great host! She was very responsive and provided us with many amazing recommendations in the area! She was incredibly accommodating when we had to make changes to our reservation and we appreciated this so much! Her home is in a beautiful neighborhood, very walkable and very close to the metro that takes you into the city center. It matched the description perfectly and was very clean! Look no further - this property is wonderful!
There's a reason Alessandra and her apartment have so many 5 star reviews. We stayed here for 5 days and it was in a beautiful + quiet part of town. If you're looking to have a good night's sleep away from the loudness of the city - definitely check out this property. Alessandra was the best VRBO host I've ever worked with. She was so helpful in not only arranging a driver for us to get to her property from the airport, but she even helped us with booking train tickets, and was very responsive and kind when we had a lot of extra questions during our first time in Rome. This apartment was clean and is very close walking distance to The Vatican. We did not spend a lot of time sitting around since there is so much to explore and do in Rome. This was a great home base for us to come back to and recharge for the next day's adventures. When we return to Rome one day, we'll definitely be looking to work with Alessandra again. Don't hesitate to book this place!

Distance to colesseum, pantheon..,25-35 min walk. If you are planning on using sleep sofa let host know prior to your arrival. I would stay here again for sure!

Tiny place and nothing provided!
I have stayed in manyVRBO properties before. I expected the place to be much larger with more storage capability. On the images it looks much bigger. The price is that of a 4 Star property, and I paid over 3000 euros for 2 weeks. I understood that when I booked that the linen and cleaning service would be provided by the property owner along with plenty of towels and places to store luggage. The place is so tiny that if you bring your luggage, you can forget We travel heavy and my husband is a big man. The facility is furnished with modern touches in a tasteful way, however the bedding in the bed room is a feather bed without duvet cover with just a sheet between you and the bedding and the bedding is covered with blood and urine stains. We have images of this and will post those to Google later. The place is very dark, dusty and loud in the morning, so no sleeping in during the week. The host was very accommodating and met me early at 11am because I asked for early check-in. She did not charge me for early check in. The AC keeps turning off even after programming it, and sometimes the internet goes out or gets slow. Upon arrival we received 1 towel & 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel and a tiny tiny soap. When I asked about extra towels and cleaning service she said that is not provided until I check out. She also wanted to charge for extra sheets and bedding for 2 nights when my friend came. 15 nights with 1 towel and no cleaning? Kitchen chairs are plastic & uncomfortable.

A week in Rome

Alessandra went above and beyond to make everything work out well. She met us when we were able to arrive. Gave us recommendations in the area. Arranged cars for us when we went to the airport. Perfect location!
Alessandra was a wonderful host from our very first interaction. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 including 2 18-year old daughters. Location is within minutes of a metro. Less touristy than most areas of Rome, which we particularly enjoyed. We would tour all day then retreat to the peace of our apartment and the neighborhood. So many “local” restaurants within a 2-5 minute walk. Would stay again!!

Alexandra was fantastic as a host. She went over and above helping us out the first day.
The location is wonderful we walked and took the subway everywhere. The only negative was it was small. We're old and small is sometimes difficult. If you can handle tight quarters go for it.
