Our second stay at this marvelous property in Sep 2023 was even more wonderful than our first stay in 2021! Home is beautiful and well maintained, beach location and ocean view/access is unparalleled, and Ghandi is an impeccable host! Exuma is our favorite vacation destination, but we’ve given up Sandals Emerald Bay for Ocean Oasis and will definitely return over and over again!
This is an outstanding property, in immaculate condition, and the perfect secluded location. The owner was very responsible to the few concerns and issues we had, and the entire experience was top-notch! We can’t wait to come back to Sea Reeves!
Beautiful property with lots of thoughtful amenities (dish soap, sunscreen packets, lounge chair cushions, decent snorkel gear, games, insulated beach bag, soft and hard coolers, Starlink internet, and a generator for power outages). The beach is isolated, calm, and shallow. We sat in the water for hours. Gentle breezes kept the bugs away. Host was very kind and responsive. Loved it!
Great stay at Ocean Oasis! The house and beach are very secluded and private. Beautiful views and turtles only a couple of feet from the beach every afternoon! The waters of the Exumas are breathtaking! The house is clean and comfortable (beds are fantastic) and the kitchen has everything you need to eat in. Ghandi is an excellent host and responded very quickly to any questions. So much to experience on this island (boat adventures, snorkeling, pig beach, Chat and Chill, Tropic of Cancer Beach and nearby Coco plum beach). And again the waters of the Exumas are breathtaking and will not disappoint! Thank you Ghandi for sharing your piece of paradise!
We loved every minute of our amazing vacation staying at Sea Reeves. Kevin was so helpful with pre-vacation planning and super responsive to any questions we had during our stay. The house is exactly as described! Exuma is absolutely stunning with so much to offer! We used Kevin’s recommendations for car rental, boat tour and restaurants. They were all awesome!! Can’t wait to come back! The drive up to house is a little rural, but coming over the hill to see the ocean is amazing!
Loved the house and the location, gorgeous beach all to yourself! The house was very comfortable and had all we needed. Definitely recommend taking a water taxi to stocking island to eat at Chat’n’ chill, snorkel, feed stingrays. We rented kayaks from Exuma point restaurant to go across to pig island. Definitely watch the weather, on a calm day we timed another group go across, took them 23 minutes. We went on a day when a storm was coming in and it was quite difficult, took us an solid hour of hard paddling. Wonderful place!
This location could not have been any more perfect! The house is incredible. There is everything that you could possibly think of to have the most perfect vacation. From beach towel, coolers, snorkel gear, to bug spray this house has it all! It’s immaculate. The beach in front of the house is heaven! The host is so good and fast with responses. We will definitely be staying again. I’m on the plane ride home now and am already planning my next stay.
Sea Reeves is the best, a new property where everything works.
Plenty of dishes etc., clean towels and clean house.
We loved the private beach, only saw two other people all week
A nice restaurant a short walk down the beach with good food and service
It was a bit of a drive to a grocery store
WIFI works for email , too slow for much else
Netflix did work. ok
Big refrigerator for fewer trips to the store.
Loved the house and Exuma, hope to return soonest
From initial booking to checkout, Ghandi couldn’t have been more responsive and kind. She absolutely went out of her way to help at every instance.
The property is extremely well fitted for life at the beach and just hanging out. Bonus points for a whole house generator! Also the neighbors are lovely. More gorgeous views at sunrise, in bed, with coffee.
We enjoyed Exuma Point at low tide and for gorgeous sunsets. And the deck at night is amazing for star-gazing. (Beware of noseeums and bug spray up!). My husband fed the lemon sharks and jack fish at Elvis’ dock.
Exuma and the Bahamian people are beautiful beyond words. Thank you for sharing your home with us, hope to come back soon.
If you are looking for a more private place to stay, then this is your VRBO. There are currently no beachfront properties near it so it provides privacy in a beautiful setting. Exuma is such a small island that despite the house being secluded, you are still fairly close to anything you will need(restaurants, markets, etc). The host, Ghandi was very helpful and accessible. We look forward to returning as soon as we can!
The property was just as described. Location was secluded away from the hustle and bustle. We had a 400 yard beach all to ourselves. Close to exuma point and not far from the boat excursions. It was a decent drive to Georgetown and Tropic of Cancer beach, but we saw everything in 5 days. Word to the wise, bring seasoning. All the food on the island was bland and all the restaurants had to offer was hot sauce.
We loved our stay at Ocean Oasis. Ghandi was so helpful with our planning, very responsive and gave great suggestions. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and more. Our family of five all comfortable fit in the home. Located at the upper part of the island it gave us the remote quiet we were looking for. Highly recommend going to Hoppers Bay to swim and the driving up to the point (4min drive) at low tide and sunset…breathtaking.
There is so much to rave about during our vacation to Exuma Island and Sea Reeves.
First off, the owners are fantastic and easy to communicate. Additionally, my husband left his airpods in the home and they promptly mailed them back to us.
The home is clean and perfectly oriented. The king bed was extremely cozy and we experienced virtually no problems.
The privacy was the best part! I could feel the stress leaving my body.
We also thoroughly enjoyed learning about the culture, food and the Bahamas' friendly people. Yes, it's not like the US, but that's what made it so special. It was a bit of a culture shock going back to the bustling American way of life.
The owners' recommendations for restaurants and tours were spot on. I'm a huge seafood lover and enjoyed the local snapper, grouper, conch, and spiny lobster. We also were glad they had some snorkeling equipment, coolers and comfortable reclining beach chairs for our use.
100000% would rent Sea Reeves again if and when we revisit! Dreaming of "island time."
This place was at the quiet end of the island and exactly what we wanted. Private beach with no houses around. Kitchen is well stocked. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. Their recommendations were spot on! It was a great remote getaway.
We stayed in two different places during our first trip to Exuma. Sea Reeves was our first stop and we loved our stay! Kevin’s directions to the house were easy to follow, we found the house no problem! The driveway to the house was a little interesting getting up it with all our luggage weighing us down, but we made it! We moved a few of the large rocks to hopefully help out anyone else making the drive! The house is comfortable inside and decorated so cute! The beds and couches were all super comfortable! We also appreciated the new washer/dryer and the well stocked kitchen. The gas stove is a plus for when the power goes out, as is the drawer with all the lanterns and candles. We enjoyed many nights swimming in the ocean right out front. Not once did we ever see another person! We walked down to the restaurant to the left and got some beers and walked the pier our first night. There are tons of fish around the pier! We also got good use out of the card games in the drawers (we had rain and no power our first day). Our two boys were obsessed with the game “go poop” that was in the drawer. Thanks Kevin for entertaining our family for hours with that one! We also drove to Cocoplum which is just 8 minutes from Sea Reeves. The beach is so pretty at low tide. Go get some ice cream at Lighthouse cafe down the road. Check out Big Do’s conch spot, the beach is so pretty! We also loved the extra touches throughout the house, upgraded toilet paper/paper towels, shampoo/conditioner in every bathroom, soap in the sink, tons of extra stuff under the kitchen sink, beach towels, cooler, an entire closet of beach stuff. The only downside was the beach chairs need to be replaced. Otherwise we can’t wait to be back soon! Thank you for letting us stay here!
My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in this house in Rolleville. The location is just perfect. The house is just steps to a beautiful sandy beach. We swam in the ocean multiple times each day and didn’t see a single other person in the ocean other than the occasional boat or kayak. There is a grassy patch shortly off the beach but past that is a huge sandy section with clear blue water. You can go out pretty far before it is over your head. They have chairs to take to the beach but we had a little trouble finding them. They are in the second bedroom closet. There are some broken chairs on the beach as well. The outdoor shower was perfect to rinse off the sand and salt. When the wind is strong the bugs are not too bad but when the wind dies down you will need bug spray.
The house is well laid out with big windows facing the ocean from the living room. The kitchen has every appliance or utensil needed but there are no seasonings or oils other than salt and pepper. The bed is comfy. There is a TV in the main bedroom but there was no remote to be able to use it. The house has basic decent wifi. The bathroom has soap, shampoo and conditioner.
We saw lots of birds and butterflies around the house and even saw two different kinds of herons. Out front you can walk 5 minutes to your left to get to Exuma Point Restaurant although they are only open on weekends. They can take you to see the pigs in a short 5 minute boat ride across the water. The whole trip only takes about an hour. The pigs were a wonderful experience but it is $75.00/ person. They will bring bread to feed the pigs. You can walk about 10 minutes down the beach on the right to town. If you go up the hill before the police station you will get to Northside Restaurant. Our favorite restaurant in the area was Shoreline. I was told you could walk there but we drove. If you continue about a mile on the road past the Sea Reeves sign there is a small beach on your left with some sand bars. You can walk out for almost ½ mile. We saw rays, baby starfish and baby black tip reef sharks in the water. It was really nice.
The only real complaint is that we were sent the wrong code to enter the house. Luckily it was open and I was able to get on the wifi and contact the property manager to get the correct code. If it had not been open we would have not been able to enter as we had no signal to contact anyone. Overall I would definitely recommend the house and would stay there again.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Location
Mixed
Positives. Water view and beach, bedding, house cleanliness, bathrooms, privacy/seclusion
Negatives. Location/access to restaurants, grocery store. This house is on very far north end of exuma so 20min to airport and 35min to Georgetown. Property had trash and debris in the yard, beach chairs were broken/unusable, Exuma point restaurant up the beach was open 1/7 days we were there, beach had lots of trash, no shade on porch for morning coffee.
The property is in a secluded area on the north side of the island which is exactly what we were looking for. We were away from all the resorts but there were still plenty stores and restaurants to fill our needs. The house is as advertised, very beautiful, well kept and extremely comfortable, especially the beds!
As you sit on the back porch enjoying the breeze and beautiful view you would swear there was no one else for miles around.
In less than a 10 minute drive you have Big D's which is a great lunch spot and Cocoplum Bistro which has fine dining for dinner. I highly recommend both to future visitors. Exuma Point restaurant is a short walk down the beach. We didn't make it for the buffet but the rum drinks were great.
Our vacation was fantastic and couldn't of been better. The heart of our experience was Sea Reeves which couldn't of been a better home base. Great value for its cost.
The house was lovely, super clean, comfy beds, air condition worked great, and grounds were kept up nice. Communication the owners was smooth while on-site. The area is pretty remote and far from the main town and our flight landed after the stores were all closed so we had no provisions until we had to venture back to the market the next morning back past the airport or in Georgetown. Only suggestion would to be able offer some sort of provisions (for a fee) to get us started. Loved all the people we met on the island. Had Chef Kat from VIBE catering come in one night and she was excellent.
This place has NO other houses nearby. For 10 days, we saw only one couple walk by. You're a very short drive to Exuma Point flats and CocoPlum beaches. The Exuma Point resort seemed empty or closed though so we couldn't rent kayaks. (There was a fisherman that chummed the water and 4 large reef sharks and sting rays were cruising the area, so be careful in front of the house!) We left a ton of new snorkel gear that we didn't use for others. There's a nice big cooler to use. Kitchen and laundry appliances are TOP END, but we couldn't reach the dryer controls. AC works great!
4 stars because it was missing basic amenities. Only salt/pepper and nothing left by former guests. I think the maid may take everything people leave behind. A water cooler is needed. No dish towels to dry dishes. Nothing to hang your wet clothes on outside. The main screen door was found in a construction pile outside so we installed it ourselves. Hot water pressure was quite low. We had to swap down a wasp nest as well as the wasps were bad. 3 of 4 outdoor plastic chairs were broken. Bathroom lighting was so dark and orange (25w?), we had to go to town and buy higher watt bulbs. VERY rough road getting in. You need AWD and you go past a junky area.
Stay here for the location, absolutely though! Completely peaceful location.
My wife and I were looking for a nice secluded beach property and we found it. The house was exactly as described and in the pictures and we enjoyed every moment of the peace and seclusion. We saw exactly 1 fisherman walk by on the beach in the past 6 days and had the entire beach to ourselves. The beach and water were absolutely stunning and we spent most days just sitting on the beach gazing out from our private location.
The house had everything we needed, was in very good shape, clean and the bed was ultra comfortable.
Thank you Kevin for sharing your beach house with us, we had an absolutely fantastic time.
Very secluded place with nice open floor plan. We enjoyed the DVD movie selection and our dance party around the BBQ. We appreciated the cleanliness and all of the cooking amenities. The short walk down to Exuma Point Bar and restaurant was a plus for this place.
If your looking for slow paced, private get away.. this is your place. You’ll definitely want to rent a car to get here. I’m thinking hired drivers would set you back a considerable amount of time and money. This home is relatively far from George Town. I’d say 30ish minutes (40ish mph) at least. This home is worth it tho. It’s set back off the road on a crystal clear beach. It is definitely your own little paradise. All the things anyone could want await your arrival. I will say this BRING FOOD! The home is well equipped for cooking but we arrived on a Sunday and literally couldn’t find anything open. SUNDAY everything (or close to everything) is closed. We found a very bizarre 7/11 that had top ramen and chips, soda etc. It was a rough first day. Nothing opens until noon on the following days. So bring food or be prepared for that. The house has a great floor plan, plenty of bathrooms, comfy beds, we were able to watch our Netflix TV shows at night. Honestly could not have been happier.
