"It was a pleasant change to stay in a smaller hotel that had a family feel about it, as opposed to a large soul- less corporate hotel. The staff were friendly, pleasant and courteous. My room was very nicely decorated and filled out, and the en-suiute was spotlessly clean and looked as it it had been recently installed. I also had the benefit of a terrace that I could sit out in. The hotel was very convenient for walking in to Macinaggio that has numerous bars and restaurants to be enjoyed and there is a really safe swimming beach just north of marina. "The Residence Catalina is a fantastic property, ideally located in a quiet residential part of Saint Florent. It has ample parking, but is within walking distance of the town centre with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. The accommodation offered is 1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments with outdoor seating (balconies or terraces). The apartments are modern, clean and very functional. We exchanged our two bedroom apartment / 2 bathrooms with balcony for a 2-bedroom / one bathroom and ground floor terrace as we preferred to have access to a BBQ grill. This was granted and worked exceptionally well. Can't fault the Residence Catalina - EXCELLENT."

"This is a very nice rental, but the location is relatively remote (high up in the valley, 7 km from beach and restaurants, further from groceries). We loved it. Hiking trails close by up the mountain and through the remains of a lost agro-pastoral farming culture. Everything now under dense Corsican maquis."
