Holiday weekend trip
Great location close to Natural Bridge. Check in/out process very easy. Cabin was dog friendly and had great WiFi. Cabin linens were well stocked though a bit musty. Only downside was we were not a fan of having neighbors so close (we could hear and see renters from the other cabins) so this location was not as private as we’ve liked.

Decent property
I feel like the pictures of property didn't meet the expectations, need to update pics! But for a woodsy place that is to be expected! Everything was provided that needed to be! Maybe warn others about the road to property, very steep!

Boulder lodge
The property was beautiful. The cabin was spacious and furnished nicely. The only thing i didn't like was the bathtub, it had mildew all around on the wood lining the tub that had an odor and it made taking a shower unpleasant. As long you get in and out pretty quick it's not a big deal. Overall the place is a great escape!

More rustic than expected
The pictures for this property were taken quite some time ago, as the vegetation has grown up quite a bit. I was unaware this site had a limited supply of non potable water, therefore limiting a nice long hot vacation shower after hiking all day, and causing us to buy extra water for our dog for drinking. There were a few ant invasions we took care of, and avoided the poison ivy on the front porch. It wasnt very private as the next cabin was facing ours not very far from us. It did have very quick acess to all the main trails, all the main street at rrg, and a restaurant right at the bottom of the hill that was delicious. The area was also beautiful for walking, and the hot tub set up was nice, though the water seemed to start to smell a bit moldy(?) After 2 days. Not a horrible place to stay, we were just expecting something a little more maintained. It felt more like an upgrade to camping instead of staying in a home away from home nice vacation cabin.

Weekend Away
Great location, easy check in as we got there late & easily found our welcome packet at the office. Cabin seems older and in need of updates, but mostly just needed a good cleaning (tons of pet hair everywhere- we did not bring pets, dirty ceiling fans, filthy under beds, mold & peeling on shower walls in bathroom and dirty bathroom floor mats. There was also a wasp infestation. My son was stung twice within an hour of our arrival. I loved the location, convenient & private but wouldn’t return to this particular cabin, especially for the price we paid.

Cabin getaway in the Gorge
We loved this little cabin tucked up in the woods. Enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and smart tv for evenings. This was a great location, walkable to the Red River Rockhouse and very close to Natural Bridge plus many trails. The 1BR loft worked for our 6. Ideal for a small family or group of friends. Leslie and Mike were great to deal with on check in and met all our needs!

Labor Day weekend with the family
The cabin was conveniently located for the two excursions we booked (UTV tour and flooded mineshaft boat tour) which was great. Bathroom had some mold on the wall where you could see was repaired multiple times. Both front and back decks were a little rough and could use some TLC. Wasp nest on the front deck so we never used that one. Exterior pictures don’t match the listing. Trees have completely overgrown and blocked the front windows. I assume the listing photos were taken years ago. Driveway up the hill had some serious potholes so be careful. Our suv got a flat tire coming up on the last day even though we were very careful. Leslie and Mike at the front desk were very helpful. They pick up the phone any time you need anything and even bought a box fan for us when we requested for the kids. The loft floor is extremely loud for the people staying downstairs. We had to trade sleeping areas with our kids so we could be more careful walking. It creaks badly when walking on it and the entire cabin can hear it at night. We’ve never stayed in this area before so maybe this is the norm.

Great Getaway
I hosted a little retreat for a few ladies and myself and we had a really nice, relaxing time. The property manager was super helpful and quick to respond issues. I was a bit disappointed that the fireplace didn’t work, but it wasn’t that big of a deal in the end. The kitchen was missing a few essentials, namely cutting boards and a can opener, but we managed to make do. Cabin was clean. Location was wonderful. Close to Sky Bridge Trail and skylight, Miguel’s Pizza, and you can even walk to RockHouse Cafe. Would stay again.

Much needed weekend getaway
Cabin was perfect for our needs. Secluded location. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle- road to cabin is narrow, steep at points, and gravel. Highly recommend! I’m sure we will return.

Amazing location
We stayed for 3 nights, the management had stellar response time and was so friendly. The cabin is perfectly tucked away in the woods, there are cabins around but most are not at all visible from property. It appears that they only cleared exactly what was needed to build the cabin giving it a feel of being deep in the woods. Everything we needed was there. (No washer or dryer but did not need one). The porches have lovely views on the back of the house. The hot tub was absolutely perfect for evenings when it rained. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens and towels. The windows have an amazing view of lightening shows at night from the loft. I definitely will return to one of the cabins managed by the host. It says you need 4wd but we did not need to use it and we saw a Prius driving along the road one day. Likely weather dependent but it downpoured many days/nights and still road was in good shape. Very close to many hiking spots and natural bridge. Honestly could not have asked for a better trip. Thanks for allowing us to stay in the wonderful location!

A nice weekend getaway
A nice spot, scenic in the holler. Great little neighborhood amongst some very unique properties. Comfortable. Plenty of space. Great deck area. I wish there was lighting around the hot tub. The lighting that was hung up didn’t work and it was quite dark at night, not a big deal. But the hot tub was covered which is nice for the rainy days. Kitchen is somewhat stocked, don’t count on it having everything. But a great space in a great area of Kentucky!

We enjoyed our stay here. Driving up the hillside to the cabin was a challenge. I was quite surprised to see Domes, Treehouses, & Cliffhangers near our cabin. 😀 We enjoyed the hot tub and quality family time together. There's so much to do in the area.

Cabin was very homie and welcoming
We escorted out stay however there is black mold growing in bath tub jet’s and wood around it and we had to dust our bed room ceiling fan to keep from snuggling with dust bunnies.. remainder of fans need a good cleaning and mold issue needs addressed.. lead blowing would have been nice on decks as well. Over all though Beautiful area and cabin has issues that could easily been resolved for a cleaner feel but was homie and we enjoyed.

The property was a beautiful Very peaceful and quiet. They are not kidding when they tell you you need 4 wheel drive. Mainly clean for being Where it is located. It could use a new shower curtain and a blind in the bedroom.. Other than that it was wonderful we really enjoyed it and we definitely will be back

Lovely quiet weekend.
My wife and I enjoyed the cabin very much. Everything was clean and professional. The only think I will say is the front wheel drive or 4-wheel drive recommendation is very true. The entry drive can be a bit tricky but not bad enough to prevent us staying again.

The road to the property was not possible with front wheel drive. You needed to have all wheel drive with a high clearance. As a result we parked at the base of the hill and had to walk 3 tenths of a mile to the cabin. Also the lower bedroom did not have any window coverings making it impossible to sleep late. The lights in the great room could not be turned on.

Enjoyable
Overall very wonderful weekend. Wish we had know beforehand about the lack of potable water and no dish soap but we were able to buy some. No blinds on the bedroom windows was another issue. The neighbors were close enough to see in. Again - easily remedied by keeping the lights off. Also lack of light in the eating area. But we made it all work and had a wonderful weekend.
