"Es hat uns eine schöne, geräumige Wohnung erwartet - größer als die Bilder es erahnen lassen. Das Bett wie auch das Schlafsofa waren sehr bequem (2 Erwachsene + 2 Kinder). Die Wohnung war super sauber, gut eingerichtet und der Blick in den Harz super schön. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich, immer erreichbar, wohnen im selben Objekt aber dennoch räumlich so getrennt, dass man sich gegenseitig nicht hört. Bei herrlichstem Winterwetter konnten wir schöne Schneewanderungen unternehmen oder die zahlreichen Loipen in der Nähe (fussläufig zu erreichen) in Angriff nehmen. Der Ort selbst ist sehr ruhig, nicht zu vergleichem mit dem Trubel in Braunlage. Die FeWo lässt keine Wünsche offen."

Das Kloster in Walkenried und die Nähe zum ehemaligen Grenzgebiet in Richtung Ellrich ist sehr sehenswert. Der Bäcker in der Nähe ist relativ günstig und die Backwaren schmecken hervorragend."
