For the most part it was very quiet and peaceful. You are close to the road so you can hear the louder vehicles when they pass. The cabin is older but in very good shape. Everything worked as expected. Lovely deck with locking gates which was nice for taking the dog out. There is ample parking but if more than one car you will need to be strategic. Ultimately we enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Awesome locations between trail heads.
Very clean!! Nice neighbors that come and checked on us. Loved the woodwork in the house. The porch had an awesome view and loved seeing the neighbors go get goats and bring them up the path each day and then took them back. Very nice couple. Great response with questions on vrbo.

Amazing location and home!
What a wonderful find and great location. The host was amazing and the place was very clean with plenty of space for all 4 of us. Only draw back is we needed more time to explore all the area has to offer. Thank you for sharing your home and we will definitely be back.

Everything about this property was just perfect! The host was incredible and responsive. The house itself was spacious and has such great charm. We had plenty of room for our family of 5 and 3 dogs. The view out the back deck is worth the trip all by itself.

Dainty Little Red Cottage
The cottage was clean and so were the things in it. The driveway is a little tricky the first time one pulls in, so it may be a good idea for the owners to tell prospective renters that it immediately pulls to the right and takes some getting used to. We came late at night and until I realized the layout of the driveway, I thought I was supposed to go straight which would have been bad as it was a very steep grassy slope. I also left a favorite shirt hanging at the back of the master bedroom door and would be very happy to pay for it to be mailed to me.

WI UTV group
This property was conveniently located to everything in Rocky Top such as Norris Lake, the Norris Dam State Park and Windrock Park. The king size beds were super comfortable. Really liked the location of the bedrooms and baths for 2 couples. The washer and dryer were great, so we did not have to pack as much for the drive from WI. Rocky Top is super ATV and UTV friendly. We were able to take the UTVs from the cottage into town using Longfield Road. The town police told us where we could drive in town, where to access Windrock Park and to go to Caryville Flats to see the elk. We were very fortunate to see the elk feeding. With all of that being said….the driveway was super narrow as the owner stated in the description. You cannot park on the road because it is narrow and very busy. It was really hard for 2 full size pickups and 2 UTV trailers to park. Thankfully the owner did talk to the neighbor who allowed us to park on his property. The living and dining room furniture are worn and super uncomfortable. The deck is great, but the beautiful view is blocked by the solid wood rail. This is a great property for getting away from the ATV crowd!

Unclean…potential to be decent
Within an hour of arrival and sweeping multiple times, (with paying a cleaning fee) we had to go buy a vacuum to try to clean the dog hair. It was EVERYWHERE! We found multiple clumps of hair on the floors and found animal hair in cupboards, on the counter top, the kitchen table cushions and couch where covered. We even found dog hairs in the bedding. The ceiling fans were covered in dust and window blinds were gross. After cleaning and cleaning the place was decent. Has a few issues like back door lock is broken (has a stick instead), bathroom door wouldn’t lock, front door didn’t shut well and doesn’t have weather stripping so bugs kept getting in, kitchen table was broken so it wouldn’t expand, and the kitchen floor has many gaps. The appliances were newer, plenty of beds and the bathrooms were mostly updated. It was nicely located near multiple state parks. It has potential to be a great rental if it can get the kinks worked out.

Great little cottage
It was nice and clean, we had plenty of space. My biggest issue is that it’s listed as having a queen bed but that’s really just an air mattress you can pull out if you need to and the futon is suitable to kids as it’s directly on the floor. Besides that, there were small little extra amenities that were fabulous and the little view from the backyard is great!

Wonderful Coutry Cottage
Nice cottage with cabin feel on the inside. House was exceptionally clean and everything well organized. Parking is difficult with more than one vehicle but the views out the back more than make up for it. Great place to stay if your visiting Norris Lake Dam state park.

Perfect for the family!
Lovely cottage with families in mind. The bedrooms are separated with a master bedroom with bath on one side, and 2 other bedrooms and a bath on the other side of the great room. Gorgeous view from the back deck. We loved the location being so close to the interstate and things we wanted to see locally yet it felt very rural.

Cute little cottage
At first we were not very impressed with the location. The front door is 30ft from the road so you do hear traffic going back and forth. Most of the doors do not close very well. But it was very clean and kept us warm and dry. Beds were very comfortable as was the main couch. The internet is not good at all so don't expect to stream any movies, but it the only option available out there so it is not the owners fault. They have DIRECTV with lots of channels available so there was plenty of shows to entertain us. Driveway is a little tricky the first couple times but we got more comfortable with it the more we went in and out. All the dishes and silverware are newer and nice. Overall we had a good stay and we would probably stay again if we needed to.
