Pull up into the wrap-around driveway and you'll know you've made it to the river! This home's decor is all about celebrating the natural beauty around the home, with bear and moose touches in almost every room. With ample parking and a private dock, you can bring your toys (boats, ATVs, and snowmobiles), park your trailer(s), and play! One of the bedrooms includes a workspace, in case someone has some remote work or schooling to finish up before heading out to the lake. Head out to the 12’ X 20’ deck and cook up any salmon or brook trout you catch at the lake on the private gas grill. The fully equipped kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances including a double oven, five-burner stovetop, microwave, slow cooker, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, and a large refrigerator for preparing food before you sink in front of the gas fireplace. Not to mention, the home has a backup generator so you always have electricity and heat. In warmer weather, the whole group can relax out on the deck with food and refreshments. This homey haven is waiting to serve as your base for outdoor adventures - come in and relax awhile.

Mattresses are unacceptable
As all previous reviews stated, the mattresses need replacing and these reviews have been posted FOR YEARS. The owners obviously don’t plan to replace them. The home is beautiful and well decorated with essentials. But the road noice is disruptive and the WiFi is spotty.

Great house on Moose River
Had a group of 7 guys stay for a week of fishing on Moosehead Lake. Beautiful, clean, well provisioned modern house. This is a serious step up from the fishing camps we usually stay at. And when we realized the gas grill didn’t have a tank, they had one delivered within a couple hours. Incredible service!!

Everything we needed
Well supplied with towels, extra blankets, pillows. Like new interior, lovely gardens. Dock views of sunset and Kineo. Worked out well for our adult family group. Would stay again if available for our yearly trek.

Very nice home. No problems except after freezing rain when driveway was a skating rink and treacherous to get to our car. 1/2 cup salt (there was a measuring cup in the salt bag) which did very little. Called for someone to come salt and sand, spoke with someone who said they had had many calls and hoped someone would come. No one came. Very dangerous situation for us, we are in our 70’s. Didn’t want a broken hip. Fortunately temperature rose enough to melt enough of the ice so we could get to our car. I have pictures of glare ice across the entire driveway. Otherwise no complaints.

Birthday Celebration Weekend
The property was just the right size for six adults with plenty of space for relaxing both inside and out. It was also ideally situated allowing us to see as much as possible on the east and west sides of the Moosehead Lake area during our two day visit. We will definitely be back!

Lovely rental, newly renovated. Leak in 2 bedrooms but managed with bowls to collect drips and towels. Difficulty with internet TV not being optional. Would prefer cable or dish. Great for snowmobiling as trail right out the back. Parking great. Great view of Moose River. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for snowmobile trip!
Our group of 6 travel to the area every year for a snowmobile trip. The location can’t be beat! ITS 66 is literally in the back yard, and the home is just minutes by sled from food, fuel, and a sled repair shop. The property manager was easy to reach by text, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay perfect.

First day not what we expected
To whom it may concern, My recent rental didn’t start off as expected. We rented the property for a long weekend of snowmobiling. I was contacted from the property management company the day of to let me know that the driveway had snow and would need 4-wheel drive to get in and shouldn’t have a problem. We arrived at the property towing trailers. The driveway was up hill and had snow and packed icy snow. “The first truck and trailer that approached the driveway in 4-wheel drive got stuck and slid, causing the truck and trailer to jackknife. After shoveling so that we could disconnect the trailer from the truck, we were able to back out of the driveway and reassess. We called the property manager at this point who agreed to reach out to the plow contractor. At this time we were informed that the plow contractor was out of town but would be by the next day, our only option was to shovel the driveway ourselves as there was no alternate parking.” Because the property wasn’t ready our plans were canceled for that evening. Thank you Daniel Martorano
