This town is amazing, quaint and quiet, close enough to the noise of Branson if you’re feeling like going out too. Our space was perfect for three friends celebrating a couple day birthday! We had a blast and our host was very sweet!
Located in a quiet town about 20 minutes outside of Branson. It is perfect for a relaxing getaway while still being able to enjoy the attractions Branson has to offer. The boat dock is less than 100 yards away with hood fishing spots. Dog friendly!
The cabin was small butt the perfect size for 2. It was so cute and peaceful. Very affordable and the host sweet. Had a full size refrigerator, stove and microwave. Including pots and pans, dishes and silverware.
Katy was quick to reply with a confirmation of the until availability. She kept in touch the whole time right up until we arrived.
Easy check in and the place was just as described in the listing.
The fireworks show was the best I have seen in years!!!!

This is not a 4 star Hotel. It is a very old resort village that is run by a very nice older couple. They have done good renovations . I needed a decent place to stay that I could also bring my dogs to and was affordable. It was just what I needed. I will go back during the Spring and Summer to see what it has going on.
First off it is a fishing cabin. Yes it is small. And the bathroom is little. But to go back in time. When this little cabin was new. And the town going strong would have been neat to see. I would stay here again. And the pizza place up thr road had great pizza

Disliked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Duck harbor, orphan Annie “cabin”
We were horrified. From the 24yo, “chef king,” microwave, to the exposed breaker box over the bed, to the 70’s wood paneling and mismatched curtains to the 18”x 9” bathroom sink with a 70’s piece of vinyl tacked to the back for a splash guard. This shanty was worth, at most, $60.00 a night. Not to mention the dilapidated town. NOT WORTH IT, DONT DO IT!
If you’re looking for a quiet, yet charming cabin in a peaceful lakeside fishing area, then look no further!
My partner and I were looking for an affordable, yet clean and safe area to stay during our trip to Branson and this adorable cabin checked all our boxes and more. We stayed in the Orphan Annie cabin (the one advertised in this listing) however, the Duck Harbor Resort contains a total of 4 cabins that can be rented out. The check in process was smooth and easy and communication with Katy, the property owner, was always consistent.
The surrounding area including the public dock and pizza grotto are both within walking distance from the cabin and enjoyable. Branson is about a 15 minute drive away and we enjoyed spending most of the day there.
This cabin is exactly as advertised and I find it silly there is a negative review complaining about “mismatched curtains” when that can be clearly seen in the pictures. This is by far one if the cleanest short-term rentals I have ever stayed in and find the price beyond reasonable for what you receive. We also stayed during a below-freezing weekend where temperatures got down to 20 degrees at night and found the cabin very well insulated and never had a problem with getting cold once. We were so impressed with our stay that this is now our go-to place when visiting Branson and will definitely return in the future.
You won’t be sorry when you book here!
Katy, the host, was so nice and easy to work with. The cabin was perfect for my parents! They loved it and spoke of how everything is so clean. They loved the view and walking by the lake. She even accomodated them with their parking because they can't do a lot of stairs! They said it was the best trip they have ever had. Everything was so close and perfect.
We have been coming to Duck Harbor for many years. We use to bring our kids here with another family every year and they are now in there early 40s. Time sure does fly.
Thanks for all the memories.
We loved out stay here. We got in late and Katy left the key in the door for us. We had a little trouble getting into the parking spot for our cabin. Our vehicle sits low and the angle of the parking area didn't cooperate well. Katy was kind enough to make some parking adjustments for us. Our little dogs loved being able to look out the windows and see part of the lake. We walked out to a little park that was close. The little sitting area outside of the unit was super cute. We would definitely stay here again.
